@jayskoon93: --i mean --from what i can see(and i have thought about this quite a bit recently) --it is one of the best times in modern gaming(for amounts of top notch in-depth games) --you got lots of games these days(from the past) --that are so HUGE that you cannot finish them --ex. i own and have played but am NO WHERE near finishing --witcher 3~fallout4~MGS5~state of decay~no mans sky~halo 5 --i mean just this year we had(all AAAS) --tomb raider 2~xcom 2~street fighter 5~far cry primal~the division~dark souls 3~uncharted 4~doom~overwatch~deusEX --and now just this holiday we got(all AAAS) --FFXV~mafia 3~watchdogs 2~gears of war 4~dead rising 4 --and no i did not put every single game up(only the main AAAS) --but --i definitely do get what you are saying --what i think we are both saying is we have ALL THESE F'N games out and coming out --some real 'cream of the crop' in multitude and complexity --but --there is A LOT of "been there done that" in the air --and so --maybe PSVR can actually get us going --but yea --even with all these amazing AAAs --i also agree --that it does 'for some reason' feel a bit stale --and lackluster
@iandizion713: --idk --xbox is keeping xb1 sales numbers alive on the charts by 'giving em away'(they have even started giving the slim away already) --and ironically --that is exactly what i have been claiming nitnendo should do/shoulda been doing for about 2 years now --every since right after the mario kart8/smashU combo punch didnt really boost wiiU sales long-term
--handhelds are secondary to home consoles(so it is not the same thing comparing vita to wiiU) --and --one HUGE hold back on vita has ALWAYS been those ridiculous memory card prices --we own a vita --and it is cool as hell --but even we refuse to 'getting around' to buying any more than the VERY small memory card it came with --which sorta makes the vita a paperweight(well~it is 'put away'~i keep all my consoles in dust wraps~and properly stored~even the ones on shevles~ugly but dust will destroy your electronics)
@dinosaur_teeth: --i gotta get that game beat --but --it is like hard to 'get around to playing' for me --there is just something about it that does not 'draw me back' --i do think it is a good game(and each time i get the ball rolling~the game satisfies) --but --i think that also --if i never played it again --i would be happier --but yet --i will beat it --for i desire to have that memory forever(of finishing it) --and not the memory of never finishing it ha
--shoulda dropped wiiU to about 150$ --and bundled it with like 5 great wiiU games --and a 50$ gift card(from different seller's stores) --if 2 years ago --they hadda dropped the price like that --and did 'those sorta' bundles regularly(like xbox has been doing with xb1) --wiiU would be considered a small success by now(probably 'closing in on' 16-22million units(gamecube numbers) --verses --basically the end of nintendo home console gaming --i mean --think what you need --but if NX is not a PRETTY decent success --i am not sure why nintendo would ever make a physical home console again(no time soon anyways)
--have you ever binged on video games for SO LONG --that you feel ashamed to go outside? --these onesies seem designed to help you fully express that losery feeling of embarrassment
@smokerob79: --yea --i personally do not believe "this story" actually happened --ha
--think about --every single business that markets products(even down to politicians) --have been using viral media to 'get the word out' for at least a decade --in today's world it is just expected --and me personally? --i do not believe a word Microsoft says --and as far as xbox? --ha it is a gaming console(a VERY VERY small industry~to a super-conglomerate MS's size) --they will do anything --like run nintendo slam out of the home gaming industry --just because they have the funds to back up failed products --like the xbox itself
@tysontalksbad: --well --it is just the basics of market branding --corporations understand that humans have a core instinct to 'choose sides' --this is GREAT for them --they just build two very similar products --and sit back and let mother nature takes it's course
--you may would be surprised how many of the physical parts in a playstation are exactly identical to the xbox --also --as humans we feel the need to 'choose sides' --because that is an ancient mammal pack mentality based on prehistoric survival --if you are not an alpha --you are forced to chose an alpha(and pack around him) --so when another alpha comes around --you get ready for the kill(literally) --that is why these topics can get so heated --choosing xbox or playstaiton over the other --is an ancient instinct that we used to would kill over
