--every since 8th gen started(i mean right out of the box) --there have been 2 things that have bothered me A LOT --one is the xbox light on the controller(that i cant turn off~that shines in my eyes) --and that STUPID ASS light on the ps4 controller --WHY IN THE **** are there lights on the controllers --how is this 'evolving' gaming?
--if i wanted to pointlessly run down batteries more --i would just turn the light up on my smartphone screen --or purposely leave my car's lights on
--this is so common these days --they take the game and build it to the console specs --then turn around and port basically the exact same game onto PC
--i feel sorry for guys who had their life savings(and tons of personal debt) invested in this game --lots of us think --"doggone rich game builders(with their ferraris~strippers and cocaine addictions~like a scene from 'wolf of wallstreet')" --but --most of these guy's only focus was this SINGLE game --it was their heart and soul for MONTHS and even years --they did not start the game thinking --"we are gonna make BILLIONS"(running their fingers together like Mr. Burns) --a lot of these guys just had an idea that they wanted to make a game(a honest to heart dream) --hello games is a small gaming company --run by people just like me and you(well~thier balls are probably bigger) --and all they wanted to do was make a game they thought would rock the world --did they 'think of' making millions?(and tons of easy template/rehash sequels that smashed sales records) --wouldnt you? --spending 3-5 years basically KILLING yourself --and slaving over one project(one single thing) --until you may start going insane --maybe your hair starts falling out --or you end up hooked on medications from the dr to fight the anxiety and stress related with such a task --maybe losing friends and people you love --and then --you FINALLY get it out --and you realize --EVERYONE hates your game and thinks it is stupid --that.. --is like losing 5 superbowls in a row(or whatever sport's final game)
--of course(after saying all that) --at the 'very top' somewhere(at hello games) --there was a 'substantial payoff' and buyout by sony --and it is obvious that sony probably forced them contractually into getting iam8bit to handle the PC release(or lied to them) --so that the pc version would come out all amateurish --but IDK(about the pc contract)
--i do know one thing --when i watch mostly any game's final credits --i am always taken back at how many people worked on the game --all i can think is --by the time you even just pay 75% of these people 'here and there' over 2-5 years --i mean --what money is left? --even after a decent success
--this is our medium(folks here at GS reading this) --video games are our love --do not be so quick to hate a game like no mans sky --take a deeper look --and realize --you ARE no mans sky --it is part of who you are as a gamer(for the rest of your life) --and --many people(just like you) --worked their asses off --and they are not even CLOSE to being done --they have not washed their hands clean --and said "oh F it --long as it sells and i can pay for my 10 bedroom mansion --who cares about the average gamer"
--now the game is gonna end up considered a failure --when in reality --a metascore of 70/100 is not a fail(it acutally means the game is "good" literally it is a "good game") --yet --the top dogs at Hello Games? --they can not even sleep --each second of their days --and every moment of their lives is running about as inadequately as their game launch is --and gamers like me and you --are just playing whatever we think is fun --and sleeping like babies
--so stop for a second --and realize --maybe --we are not 'the little guy' --maybe --Hello Games is
--im surprised GS gave it a 7/10(was expecting a 6) --which means it is literally a "good game" --even the metascore is right around 7/10 --for me --i just dont have enough time to drop into a 7/10 --im so backlogged on great(8) excellent(9) and must plays(10) --i just dont have time for a game that is a 7 --but 7 is a good score guys --aint nothing wrong with playing a good game
@d9000: --i mean --it was a good movie(if it was like the only movie they would make for a few years) --but these days --in the movies it is just like the gaming industry
--it is just common sense really --when you go to a "quantity over quality" business model --you are gonna lose some quality(usually A LOT of quality) ha
--i thoroughly enjoyed "awakens" --not as a great 'movie' --but just as an awesome starwars 'experience'
--but the trailer for this entry? --i mean --it could not be anymore of a QUICK cashgrab --we knew disney would cash in as quickly as possibly on their investment --but... --i will make a bold prediction(at least i think it is) --before it is said and done(cause they gonna milk the ole girl DRY) --there will be a full movie on just R2D2 and C3PO
