[QUOTE="Hahadouken"]Won't be touching it. If they can't put the effort in to make a decent game I will not reward them for it on either platform.RedruM_I

Im sorry but if this game was just as good or better on the PS3 you would be all over it. Obviously it isn't the best port and PlatinumGames have already been onto Sega to try and patch the PS3 version up. I think things like this shouldn't be happening still with multi platform releases but it obviously shows there are still developers out there struggling with PS3 tech other then Sony's own first party studios.

I love how the sensationalist media will say things like "the hardware can't compete", yet have no answer for games like Uncharted 2 or Killzone 2. Teh hardware just can't keep up, which is why it has produced more technically impressive games than the X360 in the last year... as always, the devs put the time and effort into the platform that will be the best return on their investment, which is the 360, so no surprise there, what is slightly surprising is how people take this to the bank.Hahadouken

Each console does things better then the other the effects used in Bayonetta take advantage of what the ATI GPU in the Xbox360 can do that is all. Try not to let what the article has said effect you that much 'Sensationalist media' what?!

Yeah read that earlier was waiting for someone to post it seems the guys at PlatinumGames really took advantage of the Xbox360's GPU strengths judging from the article nice to see that happen as it doesnt happen that often.

Statements from the article -

"Presumably the split 256MB pools of RAM in the PS3 caused the development team headaches in converting across a game designed for the 360, with its unified 512MB of memory. This, coupled with the use of more efficient texture-compression techniques built into the Xenos GPU, leaves the 360 build with an array of smaller-scale advantages in addition to the bigger ones. For starters, there's general texture quality."

"The crux of the matter is that the PlatinumGames team has created a game engine that targets all the things that the Xbox 360 architecture does well, to the point where it's almost as if the core development was on similar lines to a first-party exclusive. Indeed, Bayonetta is technically more ambitious than many of Microsoft's own titles this year."

"As it is, the layering of transparencies, the sheer amount of them all over the screen, plus the added overhead of post-processing - it's the sort of thing that you shouldn't really be making central to the game experience in a multi-platform release, because the PS3 hardware just doesn't compete in this regard."

"For Xbox 360 owners perhaps feeling a bit bereft of state-of-the-art first-party gaming love this year, Bayonetta is like manna from heaven, and is well worth the plaudits. Its core technological and design philosophy favours Xbox 360 to such a degree that it puts a fair few first-party releases to shame. In places, it's absolutely epic. Go get it."

Microsoft should also be ashamed that it is left to a relatively small third party developer to make a game that uses the strength's of the Xbox360 hardware, this is one area that Sony is impressing me greatly.

[QUOTE="Thunderdrone"][QUOTE="Panosola"] Maybe you have a bad TV.My God of War 2 on PS2 look like that on my TV....the game it haven't blurrier textures and jaggies,it is very clear and sharp. But it look that you haven't play the game on PS2.Panosola

lol, the PS2 doesnt even output the resolution of the screenshots you posted. They are bullshots, period. And yes, the game had low rez textures, it was the PS2's biggest flaw and common in pretty much every PS2 game. Even the Dreamcast had more dedicated space for texture maps. Namco had to compress textures below Dreamcast standards to run SoulCalibur 2.

Yeah..................sure..

Im not sure about what Thunderdrone said about Namco having to compress the texture on SoulCalibur 2 below Dreamcast standards but it is a known fact Dreamcast had more memory dedicated to textures, so yes it is true and all the smileys in the world wont change that.

[QUOTE="Doctor-McNinja"][QUOTE="tirralirra"]I think what TC and many other xbox haters are saying is that, Sony and Nintendo have gaming principles. Come on, everyone knows Xbox have been mocking gamers and the industry with their horribly autocratic business models. Buying exclusivity rights, getting DLC rights etc etc I mean, Nintendo and Sony did that too, but Microsoft are in a whole new league of 'suck my **** you fat nerd playing loners'. Thats the way i see it anyway.tirralirra
Surely securing the best games and releases for your user-base is showing gamers respect more than anything? :? How on earth is them shelling out so much money to make sure any game worth playing is on their system disrespectful to gamers?

Duh! The modern gamer hates exclusivity. It just doesn't seem like that here because everyone is so god-damn up their own **** trying to convince themselves they bought the right console (myself included with good access to friends xbox but much prefer the games on PS3 and happy that some of them are PS3 only). Exclusivity is a way of Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft saying, buy our console because you can only play this game on it, or get this DLC etc etc. Its stooopid. I hate how companies force consumers to choose between one product or another. Of course, its just healthy competition, but leave those choices down to the consoles hardware. Not everyone can have all three consoles. Its all about the secret gaming code. valve know where its at.

That same Valve that don't produce games for your console of choice? That same Valve who have gone on record numerous times to bash your console of choice? I don't get what you trying to prove by putting Valve in there?!?

[QUOTE="Nidget"]GT5. God of War III shouldnt even be there, it looks awfulsantinodrake
God of War III was never about grapfics

Need to tell that to some of the hardcore PS3 fanboys they are really commited to thinking GoW3 is all about the graphics
