@shingui5 @northArrow This is why it is still bundled, can't you see the crime it will stop? Kinect will not only record the sexual activities in your household, but also let you revisit them. As "Solid" Snake if you pre-order!
So I make a comment on the article about Notch saying pretty much the same thing. I say how this is simply positive and that you could apply the "good job Microsoft" statement to any developer because better is simply better. Then I scroll down and it happens...Thanks Eddie.
@ALCHEMISTx24x7 A deliberate troll with bold font, over capitalization and bad grammar? With a like!? I'm not even mad, that's amazing!
My guess is that Microsoft has two definitions of the term "dev kit", let's not forget that Microsoft is the master of the double-edged contract. Sony may not be offering development in every console, but a year is a good amount of time for indie developers to get enough done for a kickstarter or actually make some money. Makes for an easier start-up.
What other fees would PS4 devs have to pay? $500 in what "fees"? You're saying that microsoft charges 100% extra for no given reason. What where your thoughts on xbone when it was first announced? I do genuinely want to hear your input on that.
@yearssomuch @dominoodle @nickpeck36 @John_Read I see three out of five on this post in favour of dropping kinect. Given the hot-button issues Microsoft has already resolved, I don't think a "standard edition" xbone is out of the question.
Unless, of course, the software was designed with kinect as standard, that would pose a problem.
I don't think anyone has anything negative to say about allowing self-publishing, I think this just contrasts with it not being available. You could associate this statement of praise with many indy devs. What I find cool is that the Xbone is in itself a dev kit, I would buy it solely for that reason if I wanted to develop. However, it seems you always have to wait a week for microsoft to define what they mean by "devkit". I don't think naughty dog went to gamestop to pre-order theirs.
