@Greyfeld I do not think you know enough about the situation to make that call. Your comment alone is discriminatory so I doubt you understand what it's like.
@lukus_80 Did The Lost Chapters not do better on PC anyways? Seriously, which Microsoft exec threatened to kill the Molyneux family for an xbox exclusive?
I'm getting really sick of this "Pretty much no, but maybe yes" crap. I understand the implications of a PC version, as do I usually appreciate PC games taking longer to polish. However at this stage, when we're all getting pretty close together in terms of technical achievements, I think a company like microsoft/lionhead should at least have the courtesy to tell us definitively about the decision that they have most likely made already.
You will rue the PC gamer, you will rue the wrath and business sense of Gabe Newell...
I didn't play Halo after it went Xbox exclusive. There was a gap between PC and me buying a 360. This feels like the early videos for Halo. The capes and outfits have a surreal quality that stands out for some reason. The world looks immersive as well, I just feel like as a scout I could actually scout without checking for the map boundaries.
@FordFairlane And they have the audacity to say crap like "Your phone is always connected to the internet." So is my computer. If I unplug it and take it to the cottage, I can still use it for more than a few hours without it forgetting all of that information it learned about me (Including my face, voice and movements) and thinking I stole it. Also, because it uses the architecture of windows x86 (which I understand the xbox one uses), I'm backwards compatible to 1995! F**k you Microsoft. Your on your own now.
@csward They are a third party retailer. Much like Circuit City, Walmart, or Ridiculous.
Do they not separate the financial reports from their mobile and physical games? 290% sounds fair for mobile games considering the launch of the Galaxy S4 and HTC one. Which allow for easier marketing and downloads of such products from said providers.
Still buggered on the used game sales though, We can probably agree on that.
" if you're playing games at higher than 1080p there's no better option than the GTX 780" That first part caught me, then I saw the comparisons. I don't mean to call out, but this seems a bit inaccurate as I'm running everything close to that on an older Radeon 4000 series. Maybe there is a bit of lag when I see too many particles or shaders, but I'm going to go overboard and buy myself a 660 ti that will last for years to come.
I'm not one for the "EA pays off gamespot" BS, but this is either Nvidia sending gift baskets or someone not realizing the average size of a budget and how little people care. Especially if they can't really tell the difference without looking at the spec sheet.
5% of the players who play their original xbox games on-line thustly giving the statistic. I bet they would find a higher number if everyone playing an old game had to do something stupid like pay for it again or render it useless without switching between two consoles. Seriously Microsoft... Stahp it!
