@Meteor7 @WhiteStormy @d3nR I would laugh is such a study would actually be conducted, and would follow it avidly! Actually, I wonder which multiplayer community is the worst. Obviously CoD is mentioned as an example a lot, but there have to be worse communities out there.
Anyway it certainly seems like that sometimes...I've seen examples.
@WhiteStormy @Meteor7 @d3nR For some reason this really reminds me of Amy in The Big Bang Theory...the part where she says that we have the innate instinct to fling poo at each other like monkeys do. Maybe they're just reaching out to their inner primate instincts. ;)
@James00715 It's indeed different online, but that doesn't excuse this kind of verbal abuse in my opinion, even if it's online. You're still dealing with real people here.
Wow, I can't believe people are threatening the devs over something like that. Such small changes... Imagine what would happen if they put in bigger changes. I would not want to be at the receiving end of that to be honest.
Anyway I agree with this guy. It's okay to respectfully disagree and give constructive feedback. Saying things like these is not okay and will probably make the chance of having your opinion heard much less, I'd say zero even. Feel free to take videogames seriously - I mean, I wish more people did - but take them seriously in a normal way. Be civil.
Edit: Forgot to mention that calling these people names likely doesn't help, and it would be better to "be the bigger man" so to speak, like Vonderhaar is doing. I still agree with him though.
I'm sure it's great value if you like the Kinect. I'm sure lots of people like the Kinect, excluding all the paranoia about it.
Unfortunately I'm not one of those people. Nothing personal. :)
I'm on the fence about integrating Kinect so developers can include it in their games. It gives you more possibilities, but at the same time I feel like a controller is enough. It just doesn't resonate with me.
@InFI_Chronos Making this website a better place, one comment at a time. That's me! Ha just kidding, my comments usually aren't perfect! But it's nice to see that you appreciated it.
In my eyes competition is good, and although I've never owned an Xbox console (I have a PS2 and PS3 though) I wish Microsoft no ill will. I want them to do well! They put in a lot of effort! They just did a lot of things that made me ticked off at them, and that's over now, though the trust isn't back completely yet.
Oh look, another analyst predicting stuff! Cute. And he works for a company (right?) called Robert W. Baird? These things have been popping up frequently enough that I actually ~recognize~ that name now. This is bad...
On the plus side, Eddie is doing a good job at making me roll my eyes at every analyst article on here. I'm not sure whether to love or hate that.
Yeah, but...it depends on how high that roof is. Snerk.
Hehe sorry, had to get it out of my system. It's hard to break the old Microsoft dissing/sarcastically trolling habit! But this is good! People are interested. Hopefully they won't be disappointed. As for me, still waiting until after launch to decide.
Wow...I disagree with ~almost~ everything in this review. The stuff I don't disagree with? The fact that, yes, I would have liked to unlock a few more combos in the game and that blueprints can't be sold if they're worse than what you already have. But other than that, I really think that we'll have to agree to disagree, good sir.
