@scatterbrain007 I know right...that title had me totally confused. At the same time it did make me go, "WTF? I have to read this!" so maybe it was all part of the master plan...

I would probably have bought this if it weren't for the fact that I already have a physical copy. And it's been modded (Bootleg)...makes the game at least 10x better imo. Though I think the person who created Bootleg will try to make it compatible with the re-release and the Steam version. I don't know, though, they already had a lot of trouble getting it to work with the newer disc version.

Sorry though SE, I love my modded FF7 and I'm not giving it up for slightly sharper graphics which the mods already surpass. Plus I wouldn't be able to stand the massive blocky hands anymore... I also read in a comment down below that this version contains the PC original music, and that music is worse than the PS1. >< Sad.

@MasterTheHero The PC version always had worse music IMO, I honestly have never seen anyone say that the PC music was better. Didn't expect that for the re-release though, I was kind of hoping they would have improved that.

@Amster_G You're not wrong, in NA and EU they do have ratings like those. The problem here is, Australia does to. In fact they specifically created a higher rating so they could label games like these as such. Games that used to just be denied altogether. Except in the case of this particular game, they pulled that old trick again... Like many people here say, what's the point of a new rating if you're not going to use it?

@Agent_Vincent87 The AC games have an interesting story at least, IMO. How about FIFA which just brings "revolutionary" gameplay changes every year? I mean seriously? I've never played one of these games, so feel free to correct me, but every time I read a review of a FIFA game they've usually added about 3 new features and changed the layout of the modes and such. Think of the praise FIFA could get if its creators weren't on a 12-month deadline every time? And like I said indirectly before, anticipation is powerful. Just look at GTA.

As you can probably tell from my wall of text, I strongly dislike annualized game franchises.

I don't know, will it be worth it in the eyes of Microsoft? A chance to be relevant doesn't seem to mean a chance to be competitive here. They would need to do a lot of work to make the console ready for Japan and would the sales even cover the cost of that? It seems smarter to stick to the places where it will make guaranteed sales.

Here's a thought...if you create a higher rating for games like these, use them. Haven't Aussie gamers had enough crap by now?

There are no Gamestops where I live, so obviously I don't have any experience with them... But they do buy very low and sell very high from what I've heard. I can probably get a better price on Amazon any day of the week.

I understand this dev's concern and I feel like he has a point. At the same time I think, that there wouldn't be so many used games for companies like Gamestop to profit from if people stopped selling their games. Replayability usually stops that, or at least delays it. Or are gamers just not being picky enough and are buying a lot of games that they know they wouldn't want to keep?

It's tough, but if I have to choose, I'd put my money on the oft-used 'make better games' trope.

@jd7904 @SIDEFX1 I agree, I don't pay attention to the specs that much. What i care about is what each console or game will be able to do gameplay wise.
