Isn't there anything else to report about other than that CoD XP crap? I mean really. The entire page is full of it.

Obsidian is a smart studio. Spawn sequels for other people to stay afloat, try your own projects on the side if not risk-free, then at least nearly so. Alpha Protocol was a very good try. Don't know about Dungeon Siege though. If I was Obsidian, I wouldn't touch that one with a ten foot pole. Chris Taylor should really admit that RPGs are not his forte and concentrate on RTS. Then again, maybe they'll be the ones to make this thing a little less lame.
Teamwork in BC2 occurs naturally; the maps are well-designed so theyre not overcrowded, and despite the lack of communication, thing just flow well and there is generally a good balance of the various classes (except for recon...people, stop sniping so damn much lol).

If recon is unbalanced, it's probably the other way. Too many snipers usually end up losing their teams the rounds. But yeah, the redesigned classes are awesome. At times it seems CG is king, but assault and medic rock it very respectably in their own way. Great balance all around.
It's one of the puzzling things about BC2, especially considering how easy and popular the voicechat was in BF2. There is a button for voice here, but no one ever talks, and when you try to talk you never get a reply. After trying a few times, I basically figured it was broken. If there is any voice going on, it is likely over Vent or TS, and both seem like hassle, especially since every server has their own, and it's not like I play on the same server all the time. So I, too, end up playing in silence, which is a real shame. Still, it's a helluva game.
Well, yeah, you'd think that, which is why you would be excited about Obsidian making New Vegas, but then one remembers KOTOR 2 being slightly worse than KOTOR, and NVN 2 slightly worse than NVN and now this Alpha Protocol business... And then you have to realize that this will be a sequel to F3 more than a sequel to F1 or F2...[QUOTE="TryDaBeardON"]
[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"]Well it can't be worse than Fallout 3. Born_Lucky
???
Neverwinter Nights 2 is MUCH better than Neverwinter Nights.
It's not even close.
I disagree. AND I disagree that it isn't close. And since it's really hard to prove one's opinion to anyone who has a different one, especially in regards to taste, Metacritic is a decent tool to gauge the general consensus. 91 vs 82. And yes, NVN2 scores dipped because of the buggy release.
Alpha Protocol has been receiving a lot of positive reception around the net from both users and professionals. Not sure why one specific review would change your mind about anything really.

Yeah, there's been a few 8.0s out there, but it wasn't just Gamespot's 6.0 score. These decisions are made cumulatively. Bad marketing campaign, less than exciting previews, gut feeling, etc. And that's my fifty bucks. Anyway, why my mind was changed isn't really the question.
***Are YOU just as excited now about Obsidian making New Vegas as you were BEFORE AP came out?***

Um, yeah. OK. Nevermind.

Just read the review of Alpha Protocol. Thought I was going to buy that for sure, but now I have reconsidered. New Vegas is still on my "for sure" list, though. Obsidian has a pretty decent track record of licensed games. Is anyone concerned that the failure with the original IP will reflect on their licensed stuff as well? In other words, was anyone really excited about Obsidian making the next Fallout and now changed their minds?
