Far Cry 2 on the list, but not Far Cry? No mention of Warcraft 3? Fallout 3 and 1 but not 2, which is better than both? And the only thing correct about Deus Ex being the number one game is that it's better than Half-Life 2.

-BF2-IO. Playing on a squad full of people who know what they're doing and who know you without ever meeting you.

-BF2-IO-No Arty. Receiving a compliment as a commander after a win.

-Beginning of the Frozen Throne single player.

-Beginning of Diablo 2.

-Leaving the vault in Fallout 3.

-"Open up, it's the streets!" and certain other cutscenes from GTA4.

-"I'm a marine, son. I'll walk on water if I have to." From Crysis.

-"Make use of me" -Dragoons from SC.

-Watching TV in Vampire:Bloodlines as a Malkavian for the first time.

-Machine guns in Portal.

-Romancing Bastila in KOTOR.

-Discovering Far Cry while waiting for HL2 and Doom 3.

-MAKO in Mass Effect.

Off the top of my head.

How's the single player in WiC? Is campaign decent or an afterthought? Looks like WiC is also 10 bucks cheaper at this point.

It seems like the good releases are going to start pouring around the end of October, and with a month to kill I have a few catch up games between which to choose. Main of these being WiC and Mass Effect. I'm kind of leaning towards WiC, just because I've played an RPG and a couple of Shooters lately and it's been a while since I played a good RTS, but I'd like to hear the opinion around here.

Other possibilities: Sins of Solar Empire, Call of Duty 4, or anything I'm forgetting.

Oh, an it's perfectly normal to compare apples and oranges. I like apples more myself.

Out of the poll, Fallout 3. Otherwise probably GTA4. Still waiting to get excited about Far Cry 2.

Done and built. Gyga x48 DS4 and Gyga HD 4870. Benching around 40 in Crysis at 1600x1050 with all on high. I'm happy. Thanks everyone for input.

Took my daughter to see Wall-E today and kept thinking about Fallout when they showed garbage-covered Earth. And then they fired up La Vie En Rose by Louis Armstrong! Totally awesome!

I keep going back and forth on this game, and although I'll probably buy it at launch, it's at off right now. I really respect bethesda, and liked oblivion quite a bit, but comments like "what's so important about picking bloody mess at startup" are really making me cringe.
