Leeland Yee has been trying to do the same thing in California for years. The reason he hasn't succeeded? The first amendment. Thanks for trying random group with no real data, but you have no power in this area.
This is a bunch of bull****. Basically as long as you are willing to compromise your artistic integrity, you can get your **** published, otherwise your out of luck. Which would be fine if publishers were willing to take risks on quirky games that don't fall into the FPS category, but they aren't.
@Swoopalz @Occams-Razor Mentally unstable implies the potential to harm oneself or others. I think what you are going for is mental health issues. And you are right, unless someone has been deemed potentially violent, in which case they shouldn't be allowed to own a gun.
@Swoopalz Good point, and we should be using them as the standard, instead of looking at video games or movies or music or what have you as the 'culprit'. And the people acting like we need no gun control laws are just fooling themselves. Mental health facilities, background checks for guns, public education on gun safety as well as a serious look at the damaging effects of anti-psychotics are what we should be worried about.
@Occams-Razor Japan is another great example. Some of the most depraved and violent video games in history have been from there, and their murder rate (especially with guns) is significantly lower than the US's.
@Alecmrhand Yea, elect the guys that believe in small government! They won't tell us what to do! It's not like they want to control what goes in our bodies, or what we do to our bodies, or what we do with other consenting adults....oh wait.....
