@OurSin-360 @Tseng 'Big Budget depth'? Now I know for sure, you have no idea what you are talking about.

@OurSin-360 Maybe on consoles, but there has never been a better time to be a small-medium sized developer for PC.

The difference, of course, being that the vast majority of day one DLC has at least some (if not all) the content contained on the disc. It actually ships with the game, you own it, but you can't use it unless you pay extra to 'unlock' the content. His statement only applies to developers that actually create digital only content that corresponds with the release of the physical game. Bethesda is not one of these developers, the content is almost always already on the disc.

@jobo52 @Tseng Everyone has their own opinion. Personally, the fact that you are forced to play multiplayer to get the best ending (or try for a 'perfect run' over all three games, which eliminates the whole 'choice' aspect) is enough to make me not buy the game. But specifically, I was talking about DA 2, and the change in ME from RPG/shooter to Shooter/some RPG elements plus basic dialogue options. The games changed to fit a more main stream audience, which is great if making money is your primary goal.

@Kr3isen This is why PC is better. There is a HUGE indie community ranging from one man flash games to medium sized full length projects, and hardly any of them see the light of day on consoles. It's really easy to avoid the AAA trap when you want to.

Sorry, but I tend not to put stock in the opinion of a man who sold his soul to the proverbial devil and then watched as the brand he had spent years building up crumbled into nothing more than another money machine for EA.

@rugripper40 @Aramantha Pretty sure Gates has nothing to do with the gaming division aside from it bolstering his paycheck. It's not M$ as a whole that is the problem here, just the geniuses in charge of the new xbox.

@Supabul @rugripper40 Yes, because everyone in the country has as stable of an internet connection as Supabul. Seriously man, some people are still using dial up, or extremely slow satellite, or over burdened phone/cable providers. But that isn't the point. The point is they are forcing people to be online at all times or they can't play games, even if they are single player. It's just another form of invasive DRM that could potentially ruin a players experience (not to mention, you wouldn't be able to even watch movies as the entire system shuts down without a stable connection).

@aovannor Again, this isn't something that needed to be thoroughly researched. If they read a single article, or even half of the information on the kickstarter page this wouldn't be an issue. If someone spends money on something without doing ANY research on the product first, they deserve what they get. And again, you are assuming that a lot of people are just that stupid, and that between now and 2015 non backers won't have figured out that this isn't a direct sequel (as for backers, we get email updates from the team, so people would have had to give money and then ignore all the updates from the team members for your assumption to be correct). I repeat, your comment was insulting and unnecessary, as it is each individual persons responsibility to know what they are paying for, and the vast majority of people take the all of 30 seconds necessary to figure out that this isn't a sequel. Also, I will repeat this part as well, there is nothing backers can do about it at this point, their money is gone.
