Just about to watch the vid, been waiting all week for it, I'm going to say for the record that this will probably be one of the best feedbackula's yet... now where's the popcorn?
@Mega_Loser @TurboGuru @cmitchell0897 Indeed, the only colour I see is black...... but is black a colour? Or is it what is left when there is no colour?... ... thus not a colour.... ahhhhhhhhhhh?
Man Gamespot has really changed for the better these recent years. Long time members will remember a few years ago when Jeff abruptly 'left' GS after giving his brutal but honest view on K&L.... yeah that horrible game. I like many others at the time felt Gamespot had lost a lot of credibility and risked its integrity of game reviews in that incident.
Fast forward a few years and we have great reviewers and GS is even partnered with GiantBomb!
I was shocked and pleased when Gamespot reviewed SimCity upon launch (score), they did the right thing by highlighting the flaws in the game. I was worried that this video was going to be a 'trackback' on it, and giving an updated score, but nope, it still highlights the truth about the game.
Contrast this to IGN, who are actively delaying the simcity review until server issues are fixed. Being as the whole game is designed to work on a server I think such a delay is morally wrong. Yet ironically they are constantly giving out articles and tips on how to play Simcity - disgusting.
Firstly, a typical PC gamer will always prefer a big rig, the majority take pride in actually building their own systems not always for budget but more so they have control over the components they want. Now this box has the potential to bring such a gamer into the living room, acting as some hybrid between a console and dedicated gaming pc - but at the price a PC gamer is just going to tell them to GET THE **** OUT, quite rightly too.
Then you have the console gamer who is not really bothered about the intricacies of CPUs, GFX cards, memory speeds, but is aware how graphics look better on PC. With this concept they may be tempted by it as its essentially a powerful pc that requires no building, but then they will look at the price and realise they could buy a PS4 and a 720 together for that price and not even bother with it.
It amazes me how they don't even know their own market, this is clearly a business decision by a typical 'suit' who has no connection with their audience.
