@ASnogarD I know what you are saying.... but I think Gamespot didn't mean to ambush their users. I say this because of how honest their review was of Simcity, they were not afraid to tell the truth.
I dismissed this article from the start anyway, the only reason why UK users wouldn't of had problems is because nearly everyone was put off buying it!
... and that makes it all the more interesting because many people in the UK have probably not bought the game and yet the few that have are still getting server issues, says it all really.
@Nova-Kheng The game is built from the ground up to use servers, this is not just about DRM Activation... you will have problems when too many people are on the server. The review was perfectly timed, it represents the actual game.... an unnecessary singleplayer online catastrophe! .... IGN are the ones who are misleading people....
@goo45 That's the thing.... your looking at it like Gamespot decided to give it the score they did and release a review quickly as some sort of way of teaching EA a lesson. This isn't about some serial activation, its about how the game requires you to have a constant internet connection for what should really be a single player game.
The game is fundamentally built from its core to use an online connection. So the review is perfect because it is the actual game. Think about this, lets say by next week the servers calm down, what happens if in easter the game gets a discount on origin and tons more gamers get the game...... your back into a meltdown scenario.
IGN have it completely wrong - reviewing the game after these issues will infact be ignoring the problem at heart and deluding people.
