A free game, how epic it would be if the collection they offered were DRM only lol...
Oh and yeah they knew from the start they would not have enough capacity for the launch, but figured as usual that gamers cries would go largely unheard and that everyone would settle down within a few days...
What they didn't realise is the gamers revolt this would cause, it's soo bad they have had to call off their own marketing!
Remember folks, today IT infrastructure is easily scalable - meaning they could of bought/hired a lot more servers for initial launch and then as the months went on and player numbers went down they could scale back on the servers, easing the cost .....
They decided to save cost on launch and now look at the shithole they are in.... they can sink in it for all I care
They knew before releasing the game that they wouldn't have the capacity, but as usual they would eventually sort the servers out in a few weeks, and people would stop bitching...
What they didn't know was the huge gamer revolt this particular game would cause, the sheer number of gamers actively trying to get a refund, the poor reviews only adding to the press coverage of just how incompetent EA are....
For too long EA has got away with treating their customer base like dog shit, I feel as though a universal balance is now in motion, good times are over EA.
