For today's raster render workloads, the RSX/Geforce 7 is an aging GPU.

I'm not sure If I can say this clearer but I'll do my best....
You and many others do their best to try and compare the PS3 to PC architecture, but that's your first mistake....the PS3 is not like PC architecture and is not supposed to fully function like one, specifically the GPU.
Yes, by itself the PS3's GPU it is weaker than the XBOX 360's GPU, but the PS3 is not supposed to run on the GPU alone....it wasn't made to do that, not for best results. The PS3 was specifically made to use the GPU and the Cell Processor. That's why the Cell Processor does floating point better than any other AMD or Intel, i7 or otherwise, to date.
You keep refering to the GPU, and long story short, for the PS3, you are only talking about half of the PS3's proverbial equation.
The bottom line, if you add up the total Flops and total power that the PS3 has vs the total Flops and power that the XBOX 360 has, the PS3 shows that it can do more than the XBOX 360.
What I don't understand is, Why is anyone arguing this?
What mistake? The posted RSX's design issues points to why SPUs must be used for current raster workloads.
Your mistake is that the raster graphics involves more than the simple Add-MUL FLOPs.
As for totaling PS3's FLOPs, let look at RSX's FLOP inefficiencies.

Note G70/RSX's pixel shaders/math stalling during texture operations. Your theoretical FLOP count is already debunked.

If FP32 Shader Unit 1 stalls, the rest of the dependant Shader/ALUs also stalls. Your theoretical FLOP count is debunked again.
Like Geforce 8+/Radeon HDs, ATI Xenos has fully decoupled it's texture and shader units.
My AMD** Radeon HD 5730M kills STI CELL in floating point.
**ATI doesn't exist and AMD sells "SIMD array" processors i.e. "GPU" is NVIDIA's marketing term.
Lots of misinformation on your part.
First your assumption that the RSX is equal to that of a G70 is just that...an assumption at best.
Second, once again, The RSX without the Cell processor is a moot point.
3rd, and most important,
Nothing in your graphs/charts points to either the RSX or Cell...and it certainly doesn't point to the power of both combined....so I have little clue what you were trying to accomplish here.
Whatever it was, I think it failed. Sorry.
Come back again when you have some data on the Cell and RSX combined...then we can go from there.
