What it seems to me, is that Hideo and his team had really huge expectations for this game. No system had the power that they needed for their vision. This is what he is disapointed about. It sounds like he pushed the PS3 as far as it could go. I don't think anyone really tested the full potential of the system, Hideo dreamed too big for technology. Too me it sounds like he made the best MGS game possible for current tech. Unfortunalty technology wasn't up to his dreams. He is not saying the game is bad, or the PS3, to those that think this and are making decisions off this i am sorry for you.

Well mine certainly did. I hated the PS3 for all the xbox fanboyism. But once i heard the sales were picking up and first heard about home, I took the gamble. Besides the 360 is a couple yrs old, to me it's hitting a plateau. This yr looks great for the PS3 game and update wise. So i'm glad i picked one up, mostly for the potential of it. P.S. I'm not trying to flame, just stating why I picked the PS3 over the 360.

Well you can make a Konami ID straight at their site. i made an ID a few days before the beta realease. it was a little slow but no probs. I'm not sure if it would really help, but it might if you make your ID seperate from the beta Download.

Nah, I'm not getting this either. Budgets tight for the year, and there are a lot of great games coming up. Besides, I don't support companies that make M rated games just to get anti-gaming publicity. RS seems like they only make games for the hype, and media attention. Though i kinda dug ping pong. Though i enjoy the concept of Mature games, just not companies that make them for the wrong reasons.

I have the 40 gig ps3 and kept the ps2 as well, so B/C was not important to me. I was a bit worried about only 2 USB hubs, but I bought the rock band USB thing with 4 USB hubs and that works fine for me, so I now have 5 USB hubs. If you plan on downloading lots of content to keep, then the 80 gig will be for you. I download lots of content, but usually delete it right after so I still have 30 gigs left on my hard drive. The only thing I keep on my hard drive is extra maps or songs, but once I am done playing a game, all the extra content gets deleted as I can always download it again. Hope this helps a bit.KB1ankenship

Yea i agree. since you have a ps2, the only question is, how much harddrive space you want. Though the money you save on a cheaper version you can put towards a new hardrive for more than 80 gigs.
