Sony doesn't charge for their service because they CAN'T! They were to far in the hole and needed the advantage of PSN being free and they didn't offer a fraction of the services that came standard in XBL... they still don't. If you don't think Sony salivates everytime Microsoft announces the BILLIONS of dollar of revenue that XBL brings in then you're a fool. It's highly likely you'll be paying for PSN come next gen if they want to reach the same level as XBL. And lest you forget this is a business and it's about making money... Live has always cost money and it will always cost money... they haven't changed anything it's only their competitors who are so late to the game they have to add the incentive of "Free" to get people playing... and lets be honest... nothing is free... someone is paying for that service and they are probably unhappy about doing so... it does cut into Sony's bottom line that's already way to low.
@nhlcrazy doesn't make sense that the system would need 3 gigs of ram... If 3 gigs is needed I can't imagine wtf they are going to be running in the background of every game... that would just be madness... unified Clans? Video chat in game?
Heard that Microsoft is probably going to be using the 8000 series... and 3 gigs of ram for system... Windows 8 with IE10 four windows, Chrome, Steam, Raptr, Outlook 2010, Tweetdeck uses 3 gigs....
That would be you opinion...it's his job to do this... if your job is to load freight on a truck that's what you do if it's to do what he does then that's what you do... are you going to always load the freight on the truck with 100 percent accuracy? No... is he always right no... he's still one of the best... he doesn't claim to KNOW the future he's giving you his best guess based on trends and other factors.

@NuDimon @BludshedX no if they owned that franchise you think Apple wouldn't be putting out their gaming console everyone has been waiting for it would be a no brainer... only place you can play CoD now... che would we even see PC versions?
@Kulcan it's a ton... even for most companies... Apple and Microsoft seem the only ones who could give the cash for it... Microsoft would have more reason to snatch it up though.
@CTBradums could you imagine the coup if Microsoft or Sony could pony up for this... Well not sure if Sony has the cash or assets though I suppose they could trade stock in their movie business... Microsoft could pay cold hard cash for this.
@BludshedX The game machanics are the exact same on a console... nothing changes... it's not like the game uses tones of inventory slots or anything... you have attack and 5 abilites and a secondary and the portal... there are 16 buttons on a 360 and PS3 controller.
