So is this delay going to net us PC gamers some better visuals or so other enhancement to utilize our PCs more properly?

Heck besides story/missions, what exactly are the core improvements or additions in this over Brotherhood?

I really want to believe but SR2 has put a sour taste in my mouth. Gonna needs to see reviews and performance feedback on this one for PC.

Those patch notes are far from complete. There is strong regen health now, least with Xian character, never need health packs any more. Food and drinks give nearly 2x more healing power. Thrown weapons aren't put back into weapon slots automatically any more when you pick them back up. All the changes are pushing the game into a 'get away and heal' type game now, instead of stay and fight.

Just loaded up my Xian character (asian women right?) and let a zombie attack me, waited a min and there was no health regen so i have no idea what you're talking about.

How low did you let her health get? It only regens when she is near death, like 1/8 health left or less.

They effed up stuff making some large gameplay changes in the latest patch. Game is not as fun any more with these changes IMO. Shadows look same on my machine btw.

32hours in on SP currently.

This game turned out better than expected. I'm using 1.2.1 patch with Dead Island Config Tool and have some bugs but they are few and 'workaround-able'.

Its worth my $40 I paid I feel, especially if you consider the length. I'm certain I'll get over 40 hours in as I'm not even to the jungle yet.

Loved Swat4. Not sure I want Swat5 though, its bound to be some dumbed down simple shooter.

Don't think its a texture pack. More of a texture enhancer. I'm guessing it will be like Unreal Tournament or Timeshift where when you get close to textures it overlays a pattern to the current texture.
