I never really liked The Sims games, but for a time I did actually enjoy the actual designing of my home. Purchasing and placing furniture, appliances, decor etc was interesting... When it came to the actual game, I couldn't stand the idea of controlling the lives of people constantly.

That of course is just me, and I can see how a lot of people could enjoy the game. I wouldn't say I hate it, I just don't like it, and I can appreciate why others enjoy it so much. It's just not my type of game.

I have faith that Blizzard will definitely announce a Diablo 3. Especially after Starcraft 2 was announced after so very long!

Who knows when that will happen though.

There are indeed also rumours all over the web about a Diablo movie, along with the whole Warcraft movie as well. Who knows, maybe if they do announce a Diablo movie, they'll announce a third game around the same time? Fingers crossed! :D

As long as you know the IP address of whomever is hosting the game ie:

You are hosting, you'd need to give your brother the IP address for him to type in, and vice versa.

There is definitely LAN play, as I used to play D2 + LOD way back when with my little brother also ^_^

EDIT: Err, I forgot to mention. No, you do not have to play over the internet for a LAN game. As long as your computers are connected to the router, you should be able to join eachothers LAN games. I'm not too sure how to explain it though, because I'm hopeless with networking. I hope someone else chimes in here.

Ahhh I see. Well that's comforting to know, as I was pretty confident with the DS3P. I may yet change my decision by the time Intel price cuts occur, but until then, I feel I've made the right choice :P

Thanks a bunch!

I have been looking at building a new rig recently, and thought I had locked in my decision on buying the P35 DS3P.

However lately, browsing threads here and there, when people are asking for recommendations, most recommend the P35 DS3R.

Can I ask why this is?

From what I can tell, the only major differences are the DDR3 support on the DS3R (atleast the one I had looked at) and the ability to CrossFire 2 graphics cards on the DS3P. (Something I may be interested in down the road)

Is there something else I'm missing and should I change to the DS3R or stick with the DS3P?

Thanks in advance!

Dune 2: Battle for Arakis - Very first PC game I ever played, and I would say the very first RTS I played.

Wolfenstein 3D - Ahhh the memories. This would be my introduction into FPS games :P

The Secret of Monkey Island - I can remember my dad and I getting rather frustrated at this game over and over. I do believe this one got me into the whole puzzle solving genre.

So many memories... *tear*

Oh whoa, the memories. I remember owning this on the Atari ST way back in the day, it was surprisingly good fun! Well, for its time, it was great :P

I do believe if it was on the ST, it would surely have to be on the PC... Might be a DOS version of it somewhere. I would have no idea where to find such an artifact however :P

Well I may aswell throw something I briefly conjured up thinking it could work... Somehow.

I was talking to a friend the other day, and somehow we got onto the subject of Starcraft: Ghost and pondered what happened to it.

I had this wacky idea that maybe Blizzard scrapped Ghost for an MMO upon the realization that an FPS may be complete suck, compared to the cash machine that is World of Warcraft.

So picture this. Huxley, (if you haven't heard of it, type it in that wacky search feature up there) but in the Starcraft Universe. If anything, it looks like that there race (forget the name) of beasties in Huxley are similar to the Zerg anyway. So Blizzard wouldn't be totally copying :P

I don't know, I think the idea of an MMOFPS in the Starcraft Universe would be kickass, and not totally far fetched. Instances in the form of 1000 player FPS madness, which you enter in groups of dropships, or burst forth from the earth if you're on the ground as the Zerg, warp in as the Protoss etc (Not being really imaginative here)... I dunno. It all sounded good at the time :P

That's my idea anyway, I wouldn't say dream game but hell, mix Huxley and Starcraft- I'd play it.

EDIT: Yes I realise Starcraft 2 is on the way, which is another thing I took into consideration, considering WoW was in the works when Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne were released.
