its insanity at its finest period. They were very vauge about what you could do with the psn+ but hey we will find out in july according to jack trenton i am very skeptical though cause they are offering betas and other "exclusive" stuff that can only be had on psn+ what are they gonna do hold back dlc for the psn+? and on another note i wonder if the stuff you purchase while under plus do you get to keep it or does it go away if you dont renew?

I have so many games to beat its sad i just beat both resistance and uncharted 1 in february of this year. I am trying to get around and play my bad company 1 and beat it before i go into bad company 2 i am just trying to get as many games out of the way as possible before the new systems come out. This is all due to having a girlfriend and 2 jobs that demand my time.
The foliage thing is something that someone needs to explain to me.
On topic like someone said pages ago the Live vs. psn debates and how one is better than the other. I HATE THOSE WITH A PASSION!!!!!!!
And the troll topics that go on for 20 years cause people feel the need to say that x game is horrible and it shouldnt have gotten x score.
This thread is still going i love it!!!!!!
Anyway back on topic look its been stated its dead even for the most part between both systems now it just comes down to preference and what games you like to play. Usually 9 out of 10 times it looks and run better on xbox 360 if its a multiplat and the exclusives look great on ps3 with the amount of time and effort put into them. But at the end of the day its all about preference and games you like to play.
I love arguements like these GRAPHICZ are more powerful on whatever system. You can never agree to it cause there are to many variables for example:
How long are the dev cycles on a ps3 game compared to xbox 360?
How do you compare said games to one another?
Oh i know lets use MULTIPLATS youknow the games that come out on both systems and usually VERY marginally or EXPONENTIALLY come out better on a system.
So in conclusion unless Sony is making games that are 1080P, 4D, 120fps monstrosities they promised then i give it to xbox cause frankly if your system comes out a year later and your tech is still not out performing games on all fronts then you FAIL!!!!!!!
GXgear i wasnt gonna comment but you been harpin on the same subject for 5 pages now. If the interface is so clean then that means either
A) your dl gaming collection is extremely limited
B) you just dont like paying for LIVE
i have both LIVE is better always has been better and if this paid service comes along and doesnt add a significant amount of content and reason to get it then it then LIVE will always be better
Now the interface thing that has been answered goes like this if you have over 30 dl games and demos then its gonna be problem cause you have to scroll through those games until i find the one i want to play. NXE remembers the last games i played and has them for quick reference in the my xbox section. Then in order for me to reach where the new content is i have to scroll alllllllllllllll the way to psn marketplace and click on it and make sure it loads up depending on your connection it can take 2-10 sec. then my favorite part looking for all the new stuff that came out cause even though they have gigantic billboards for them i also gotta go to said section of new stuff and look through both PS3 AND PSP stuff. Where do they do that at where you mix both PS3 and PSP stuff together for what reason does that make sense?
My thing is if i pay for one of these "passes" how long do the servers stay online cause imo they should stay on indefinitely or give me my money back since i have paid foior access to that aspect of the game your asking me about
[QUOTE="yoshi_64"]I have a quick and easy solution. I just download the update data to my computer, then load it to a flash drive and voila! Pop in the thing to my PS3 and it takes no more than a second to read the thing and installs very quickly. As for game updates, if you keep up consistently some aren't so bad, but I do know that the PS3's DLs could be faster, or rather I wish the were... angryfodder
I've heard this mentioned before.
How does it work? Can you do it for all game updates? For example, could I download my uncharted 2 updates on my PC here now? (work PC)
If yes, that might make it less of a PITA. If I get a new game, I can just download the updates whilst i'm at workand load then onto a flash drive.
Any info would be great, cheers.
Unfortunately you cant do that for game updates as far as firmware updates you can do it for those and for people who dont game that often it is a big deal cause depending on the game the size of updates can get crazy and for some games they have multiple updates which makes no sense to me what so ever and they still have to install after downloading them.
I dont care if its a flop or not the demo was fun i just wish i could do more with it than what they let me do but i will not fall for the same LBP scenario again i am gonna wait till the price drops or until they come out with the version with all the paid DLC on it
This has always been a problem with the ps3 and how they impliment patches or game updates. You should under ANY circumstances have a patch that is 500+ mb that is just insanity. The bad part about updates on the ps3 is that you can not DOWNLOAD IN THE BACKGROUND hopefully they get it together with the next system cause this update crap is the reason why i wont touch socom again, that one update alone TOOK AN HOUR and the install took bout 5-10 min.
PS: if the rumor is true that you have to pay for premium to get background dl of updates that is LEGENDARY FAIL on sonys part that is something that should be included in the systems dna regardless.
