Mile High Club isn't as prestigous as some make it out to be. I found some of the sections of the main game to be a lot more difficult than the Mile High Club.

I totally agree. Some parts of the game took me a hell of a lot longer than 2 hours to beat but it's just the time constraints put on you in that level that really make it tough.

How would you describe your gaming status concerning your lifestyle? Some posters I've noticed try to claim they are both, living large and in charge dating supermodels and jet-setting around the world yet also owning and having time for all the games and systems plus time to churn out 17,000 + posts on their account? In reality one can't have it both ways but that's ok.

I disagree. I think you can have it both ways. I think it's possible to be a "hardcore" gamer and still have room to lead a very dynamic life

- I don't claim to date super models but I do lead an active and...eventful social life with attractive women.
- I have 12,000+ posts on my account but I have been a member here for 6 years.
- I own and play a lot of video game systems both old and new and always make time for my favorite games. I've actually become a bit of an acheivement dork in recent months.
- I don't "jet-set" around the world but I do love to travel. In the last year and a half I've been in Kentucky, Tenessee, San Fracisco CA, Georgia and N Carolina. I have a trip scheduled for New York in September and my next big trip is going to be to Australia some time next year.
- I'm in the the Army and that has added a really interesting layer to my life since I joined 3 years ago.
- I'm also a proud father of a 6 year old little girl.

I'm not listing these things because I'm trying to make myself sound like the most interesting man alive but just to show that if you give a little effort to making something of your life that you really can squeeze a lot of adventure in to the very short time we have here. And really, who would want it any other way?

You can bet your ass that damn mission frustrated the hell out of me. Controller almost became friends with the TV more times than I can count.

In the end it was worth it though. Coming off that rush of getting the mission done right and seeing and hearing the achievement was cool.

Yup. It was especially sweet for me since it was the last one I needed for the game.

You know I'm not entirely sure. I was able to get through the plane and kill the terrorist with a head shot at the last possible second, but I'm not sure if I got the achievement for it or not.

As long as you waited until the screen faded to black after you jump out of the plane, you should be good.

Part of this is to vent and the other part is to give myself super fly props.

I just spent an hour and a half trying to get the "Mile High Club" achievement on Call of Duty 4before finally getting it about five minutes ago. I've never really sat down and tried for it before because I've heard how insane it was but it was the last achievement on the game that I didn't have so I tought I'd try and wrap it up before MW2 hits. As satisfying as it was to get, that was the most nerve racking 25 point achievement I think I've ever tried to get. My controller almost went out the window a time or two. At least I can put it out of my mind now...I'm sure just in time for an equally as difficult one in the upcoming sequel.

Anyone else have yet to get this supremely frustrating achievement?

I agree that options would be nice but if the game is really good small concerns like that tend to fade away fairly quickly.

This may be off the topic but I just had to say that using the word "wholesome" to describe WWII in any fashion is kind of funny in itself.

 Awesome point. 'My sweet little Billy was just looking to shoot people in the head online, but then someone shattered his innocence by using a curse word!'.

Seriously, I'm a father of two but I always roll my eyes when someone begs for censoring for the sake of the children. If a parent feels something isn't appropriate for their kid, they should keep them away from it rather than bleat for babysafing and whine about how the children will be harmed if inappropriate games/movies/music continues to exist.

My point exactly. I have a 6 year old myself and I keep a very close eye on what she plays and she never plays online. If and when I decide to let her do so when she's older, the minute I hear a foul word come out of her mouth, it's a wrap. That being said, a lot of the games they release now (especially shooters) have language just as bad or worse than anything I hear over that little headset. But hey, if you're worried that your sweet and "wholesome WWII shooter experience" of fighting and mass killing will be ruined by the "F" word, just remove your headset.
