All the guy wanted to do was see who had been or was in the Military. If you don't like the topic you can leave. He did not ask what you thought about the war.GrandJuryThank you!

I know I'm going to have push myself through some tough stuff, but I made the decision to accept that I'd have to do it, so there's really nothing I can do about it except, like you said, keep my head high through it all.Lord_Omikron666But believe me, when it's over and your basking in the glory of graduation day, you've never felt more physically and mentally as good as you do at that moment. For me, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. And I just want to say thank you for raising your hand, taking that oath and stepping up to serve your country. I'm proud of you!to be honest, Basic Training is a joke.. it wasn't that hard at all.. just wait till you get to your real Unit.. then you'll learn more about your job and stuff.. then that'll make you proud. I mean some people think BCT is fun and hard, but seriously its just a piece of cake. even doing PT in BCT/AIT is horrible.. doing PT here with my squad, i make sure that we all get a good smoking session. Where did you go to BCT?
[QUOTE="Vundi"][QUOTE="Lord_Omikron666"] Don't worry, I'm far from the type that would do anything stupid unlike a couple of my friends that are also military. But basic training is going to alot of fun since air force basic is in Texas, and Texas in July... :cry:Basic Training has changed a lot from what I understand but even when I went through, a lot of people couldn't cut it. It's not impossible but it's not easy either. Keep your head up and be ready to push yourself. If you can't tell, I'm in the US Air Force and I leave for basic training in June.
good luck.. Basic Training has really cooled down the past few years, so you should do fine.. just do what your told and don't do anything stupid.. Don't worry, I'm far from the type that would do anything stupid unlike a couple of my friends that are also military. Keep your head up and be ready to push yourself.I´m not american nor did I served in the US army, but I served in the Portuguese commandos(Audaces Fortuna Juvat)for 5 years and I was in afghanistan for 6 months(khabul and Kandahar).
Surely this wasn´t the kind of answer you were looking for(I feel you were looking for US army members),but I guess it´s better than nothing.
Military from all countries are welcome to post. I should have included that and I'm sorry I didn't.[QUOTE="Vundi"][QUOTE="Vandalvideo"] Except in the case of Pearl Harbor it was instigated inaction. The military actually instigated Japan into attacking and had forewarning of the event...atleast according to the documentary I watched a few nights ago. But those documentaries are suspect. Dylan_11The reason Japan attacked had nothing to do with our military. It was a preventative attack to keep us out. By and large the American people wanted us to stay out of the conflict and we had. Doing nothing more than passive support of Britain. Did it not have something to do with the fact that you guys were supplying the Allies? Actually I think what pissed them off was the trade embargo we slapped them with to try to get them to end hostilities against China.
Im not bored, I just need to do something. Theres nothing here for me anymore and I dont have money for college so I might join the military and theyll help pay for it. Also I wanna travel around.Jing16The Army can certainly help with that. Between enlistment bonuses, tuition reembursment, G.I. Bill and student loan repayment, you should be all set.
[QUOTE="Vundi"] Thank you!!! You did a fantastic job of illustrating my point. Damned if we do and damned if we don't. So we may as well be proactive.VandalvideoExcept in the case of Pearl Harbor it was instigated inaction.
