I tried it, had no idea wtf was going on so im gonna wait till they add more features

Postal_Guy

So I guess there is no ingame tutorial. Saw a thread in the steam forums about a tutorial for the game, but as an old dungeon keeper gamer, I don't that it should be necessary.

I would have thought more people were looking at this game, as you often read about people wanting games like dungeon keeper/evil genious.

Star Trek: Online is just as terrible as the last two movies so don't bother your time with it.

USS_Data

Can't tell if trolling or if you actually have this opinion, which in itself is would be terrible. I am going with trolling because no one in their right mind would say these movies are terrible. Even people who don't like Star Trek like these movies.

Not trolling the last two movies are terrible movies not worthy of the Star Trek name. It;s just crap for the mainstream instead of staying true to the lore they build up for the last decades. Terrible MMO and terrible movies which would make Gene Roddenberry cringe in his grave.

They had to go a new path, to get more peep into loving them some trek - I think it's the only way star trek could survive and they do a good job imo.

I can't argue with the quality of the game since I haven't played it, but the two movies are actually good.

The movies are awesome, very nice addition to the universe, I hope the production studio continues being trekker happy ;)

[QUOTE="wis3boi"]

Look at Shogun 2.  Steam workshop has thousands of mods you can install in one click.

wis3boi

They already said mods probably won't come due to time constraints and increased complexity of their engine.

Eh, they said the same thing about Empire, so we'll see.  I'm running loads of mods on all my TW games

The scope of the mods was awesome(est) in rome and medieval 2 - it's like the modders on twcenter.net are having a harder time modding the newer TW games.

For medieval 2, we have Third Age and Stainless Steel (hell yea, x2).

For Rome, we have Europa Barbarorum and Total Realism.

many of the mods for empire, napoleon and shogun2 are smaller mods that are normally included as "selectable features" in TA, SS, EB and TR - in other words, the amount of work put into many of the mods past the release of Medieval 2, is miniscule compared to previously.

Now Lusted is a Modder on twcenter, and he now works for CA (Creative Assembly) because of his skills as a modder - so there is a slight chance, that modders will have an easier time with rome 2, with Lusted as their advocate :)

Also - CA have to strike a balance, between releasing small mods themselves (DLC) and charging peep a small amount for it, and paying respect to their community of gamers and modders and release modding tools, sometime down the road - when they have made enough money from DLC sale, as we have just seen with Shogun II (mod tools released, after CA was done doing DLC).

[QUOTE="Walincas"]

[QUOTE="Lulekani"] You needn't worry about me, there are number of RPG's (and RPG Hybrids) exempt from this problem. Like Dark Souls (only RPG where brute force doesn't work). And the "Bioshock Triplets" (Very Well executed and absolutely stunning phenomenon). Please, if you have any more reccomendations, share them. I can find'em by myself, but just don't want to do it alone.Lulekani

If you know of the existence of some proper RPG and RPG-hybrids, you think are good, then you no longer need to give up on RPG's all together - you just have to navigate through all the sh1t ;)

If you don't want to do it alone, then start your journey on www.gamebanshee.com - if it's RPG, you can find it there :)

Lol atlast I've got a new lead, thanks. I feel like one of those detectives in Law & Order, investigating RPG's is gona be the highlight of my week.

np's and happy gaming!
