He's right about games needing to innovate more, especially with next gen approaching otherwise it's just better graphics and nothing new. I sometimes wonder which series greater represents forward thinking innovation and bettering gameplay with each series installment; HL or GTA
@csvichf @Eggs-Benedict Eps 1 and 2 were awesome and they do a great job continuing the story. Gameplay is polished to near perfection (especially in 2) and you can get some great pieces of info on where the series is going to move to in presumably Half Life 3. You should look at grabbing them because rumors surfacing of a Source 2 engine and big game to show it off...
Too many games in this generation are taking the way of an "open and non-conforming ending" to as an easy way out of any decent story telling, or they've been done so to ensure future sequels. Dead Space 3 is a great example, while the single greatest ending I've ever seen in any game is that of MGS4; it leaves the player with plenty to ponder over but it also ties up literally every loose end in the expansive, epic series and it does so in a compelling, emotional and at times even beautiful way. Games shouldn't be so lazy as to put in an "open" ending just because it can be a challenge to provide satisfying closure.
@devak108 @focuspuller Wait for the price tag on the consoles first, I'll go PS4 if it's well priced since it is just a gaming PC, optimized into a console, with the Sony logo slapped on the side
@LukeWesty @Wej_accept_it Like GTA was exclusive but then went multiplatform a few years back. Poor choice of words I guess to put true in there but the point is, exclusives aren't very common these days
