The lengthy comment from someone named 'densone' is either a rubbish troll or a rubbish gamer who completely missed the point all the Souls had. One does not play a Souls game for a mere 5 hours and expect to know what's going on.
I remember playing and replaying this heaps as a kid on SNES, at least it was the game this one has drawn inspiration from to degree. I remember a strong but not frustrating game, some great boss fights (the finale against first baby and then giant Bowser was awesome) and lots of varied and interesting levels. Churning out the same old content with less life is why I've moved away from Nintendo now; at times it feels like their classic franchises are stuck in the same rut as CoD... Sad but kind of true
@tzolynski Back in the day, KZ and Resistance were known for awesome campaigns, back before online became the bloated behemoth we now know. Although to be fair, Resistance 2 had a massive 2-4 co-op mode that was great. KZ2 was awesome fun and I was let down by Shadow Fall because of terrible story, poor level design and quite simply a lack of excitement. Guerrilla Games made a great looking launch game that ran smoothly and had a cool use for the PS4 touchpad (I literally have not touched that thing since trading in SF) but their basic gameplay was boring after a few levels.
@glimpus @Wej_accept_it Why? The demand for them has been huge and I have heard plenty of stories about people missing out, both in person and online. I got to play KZ:SF which was at least a serious change of pace for mainstream FPS games even if it was fairly bland in the end. Since then I've traded it for AC4 and BF4, both of which I've loved on my new console. I've always played through Resogun (once sober and countless times with beer and mates round) Outlast and now Dead Nation.
As someone who got a PS4 and KZ:ShadowFall on day one, I have to say this looks a lot better, it's a next gen console game in terms of more then just next gen graphics. I can't justify buying an XBONE and subscribing to XBL:Gold just for this but I'll be either cranking it on a new gaming PC late this year or watching closely for a multi-console sequel down the track. For everyone who does have this beauty on pre-order, hope you enjoy some awesome (mostly) lag free games soon
The ongoing subscription fee is an annoying part of PS+ but I honestly can't think of a good reason to stop paying it, especially now on PS4 where it's more or less mandatory for online play
Thief invented the stealth genre and now the genre is dying? Sure, because Metal Gear never happened and getting a FoxHound rating doesn't cut it as stealth apparently...
I scrolled the comments and saw no angry rants about guards in MGS waking up when others came past or when the effects of a knock out or sleep dart wore off. Weird...
