Honestly, I come to this site because A)it really is the best one-stop place to check out the latest news and rumors regarding video games, which I do love as a casual hobby, and B)because watching the ps3 flounder and (possibly) fail(ing) really is like witnessing one of those things you want to see first-hand happen before your own very eyes because initially it was thought to be so absolutely implausible that one could not even fathom it actually happening, and two, because when it actually does begin to transpire, and the slow descent downward is occurring its one of those things that you still don't believe is going to happen until it actually does when you can confirm it without an ounce of doubt. Its like watching Duke basketball as a #1 seed lose to an underdog #8 seed. Or the Yankees lose to the surprise young-gun Marlins in the World Series. Or for even a better analogy, like watching the Red Sox beat the Yankees in Game 7 ALCS. Even in the 9th inning up by a comfortable margin you still cannot definitively convince yourself in your mind the Yankees will lose to the Red Sox until you personally witness it occur with your own two eyes. You can hardly even allow yourself to believe it or even think it until it does.

I guess that is why because even though I do dislike Sony (mainly for my belief the only reason they are still even in this business, or even made it in the first place, is because Nintendo made the moronic decision to use carts instead of cds in the n64) and I really can't conjure up strong feelings about Microsoft, I do inadvertadely catch myself silently rooting for lemmings as the video game gods that appear to be seemingly willing Microsoft closer and closer to possible victory, against all odds and logic- though its far far off in the distance, the fact hope has grown stronger is something in and of itself. I can understand why lemmings can get so passionate about this sort of thing because it seems that slowly but surely the tides are changing, at least a bit in their favor. Its interesting.

But still, at this point, its very early on. Microsoft is holding its own, but ps3 isn't going down without a fight. Still, I have my intuition. As a pretty overrated musician once said, "I can feel it coming in the air tonight, og lord...". Right now 360 is Rocky and PS3 is Dolf Lundgren in Rocky 4. Ps3 is the Hawks and 360 is the Mighty Ducks (in the context of the gaming industry. Microsoft as a whole is NOT a lovable underdog...). I'm just glad that its Rash Shonana tomorrow and I don't have to work, because if I wasted a minute of sleep reading this idiotic argument over ambiguous sales numbers I'd just end it.

lol i just came to the realisation that this thread has become a place for people with x360's to assure themselves that the really shoudn't have bought it and saying that ps3 isnt going to bee good for the prime reason that in a year or 2 it will have reached its potential and ps3 will blaze past easily.pinkyfull

and if you weren't 15 I would maybe consider your opinion

sony is pathetic. but phil harrison and his impossible-to-like-lex-luther-demeanor is quite unlikable too...

good lord. i know this is system wars and i know every side should at least have a few advocates, but honestly, come on. there is nothing to defend about the ps3 at this stage in its life unless you need an incredible amount of self-justification in accepting the fact you spent 600 bucks on an empty promise. face it. just come to grips with it. i swear psychologists could take you in and study you for your incredible ability in self-denial....it is fascinating...

well, regardless if ms or sony stole whatever, consider this: who innovated EVERYTHING...? who made any sort of previously invented technology in gaming accessible and/or appilied it to to actual gaming? NOT MS or Sony... it was Nintendo and Sega. Whats the difference? Two companies completely devoted to the video game industry (Nin and Sega), and two huge conglomerates whose influences and motivations are broader and more diverse than either of the previous two in regards to gaming.

just come up with one thing, sony. please, come up with one thing that positively influenced the gaming industry in terms of innovation. Apply one "previously discovered or modified technology" into the gaming world. Oh, wait.....crap...you can't....well, basically any other company that competed with you took all the initial risks and proved it was profitable to begin with.....oh, man....sony, one thing to say: it was a joke you ever made it in this industry. the fact you have been so succesful was all based on circumstance. say what you want about nintendo but they have influenced the industry into what it is today, for better or for worse, but much for the better. I have always thoroughly thoroughly distrused Sony's entire validity in the video gam market. They made one smart decision: to make cds the medium for PSX. From there they just copied and chose what to do from there. It has all culminated with the ps3. It is a a "mega-machine" with absolutely no vision, no idea of knowing on how to apply any sort f unique concept, and an absolute package of many features that individually sort of seem impressive but collectively equal nothing.

Uncharted and MGS4 disagree. And Killzone 2 says "high!". ;)leviathan91

well, i'm glad that we can all verify "high" actually means to this poster "hello", "greetings" or "hi" (I'm giving you ((poster)) being a 15 year old at best...), but lets be honest for one minute of our lives. Killzone is going to say nothing but that which Heavenly Sword has said before it many times over for months before Killzone actually makes its release. In that I'm saying, "Hello! I'm another game with a lot of asthetic qualities but no substance, look at me!" In that, Killzone will be the same. Killzone is bull. Ps3 is becoming bull in general. The graphics debate is ridculous. Who cares? PS3 is obviously inferior to Xbox 360 at this point. Wasn't it supposedly supposed to blow 360 away from the get-go.....? Well, ummmm, its not....FYI: Only respond to me if you are in middle or high school so I can personally laugh at your ignorant ridiculous answers.

oh. and chris duhon, or number 21 as he is anonymously known as in the game, is the hidden gem in the franchise mode in 2k7. I have wade, bosh, rodmonovic, and david west on my roster, and duhon is above and beyond the best player.

I think you're just a shallow minded phillistine who can't appreciate a truly great game. Either that or you're too young to appreciate the quality and depth this game truly achieves.
