Maybe I'm more accepting of these games because I could care less about online multiplayer. In fact, I was pretty peeved that the 2D Castlevania game on 360 is a stupid coop game. That made it an immediate no-buy for me. The ones on GBA and DS are fantastic games but for whatever reason 360 never gets Castlevania games like that outside of SOTN.

2D isn't different just graphically, it makes for a different gameplay experience as well. Saying you'd prefer that games across the board be more similar to one another than they currently are is silly. It ain't like 3D is going anywhere. Having both around is a good thing.

Of course there isn't parity. There isn't parity in GPU compute unit count so of course there isn't parity in graphics performance. PS4 has 18 of them, X1 has 12. That's really all one needs to know. Are we really going to get a barrage of threads like this every time a multiplatform game is released this gen?

Probably been said a dozen times in this thread already but those ain't remastered shots. Just regular old Halo shots.

And I like the idea of doing remasters in this way, big sets with multiple games all in one package. Lot of value that way. I think Gears and Bioshock would make for some nice remaster sets as well.

Well, I don't agree with the premise of this thread at all. I think 2D games can be fantastic when made the right way. I've been pleased to see them make a comeback. I mentioned them already in another reply but Dust and Shadow Complex were great games.

I think you'd better get use to it. As this gen progresses it's gonna get harder and harder to keep up with PCs and eventually they might have to start making a lot of stuff 720p/30. These consoles were weak the day they launched (Especially X1), in 3-4 years they're gonna be extremely so.

Yeah, I found some. Been a while since I looked for it. That stuff wasn't there the last time I checked.

Really? Cuz I've looked on youtube before and all I ever saw was guys talking about it and concept art, etc. Can't recall seeing any gameplay.
