Two days off, two days of gaming!!!

Today was the first of my two days off, and since I didn't have to work today, I went out with some friends last night and had a few drinks. It was nice to get out of the house and we had a good time. Afterwards we came back to the house, had a few more drinks and played some Demon's Souls. We managed to finally knock out the Tower Knight that's been blocking our way for a while now. We stopped right after that and called it a night. I slept til almost three today and then picked up a couple movies from Blockbuster ("A-Team" and "Devil") so when I need a little rest from gaming I have something to watch. Just finished the third memory block in Assassin's Creed. I've decided that I'm just going to go ahead and try and beat the game as quick as I can, since there are no trophies. So I'm not putting much effort into finding flags or the Templar's. I am finishing all the little mini missions like saving the citizens, pickpocketing, and all the others like that. Well, just wanted to catch everyone up on the progress. Hope the holidays are going good.

Work, work, work!

I haven't been able to put as much time as I would like into Assassin's Creed due to the fact that my work schedule has flipped. Now instead of working through the day and having the night off, I'm working during the night and almost sleeping the day away. Not too mention, that now me and my girlfriend are on the same work schedule, so when I do get up in the morning she wants to spend time together, which leaves very little room for gaming. I'm not going to get any gaming done tonight unless I decide to play when I get off at 2:30 in the morning and make a little progress, tomorrow will be much of the same and then there is a Saint's game on Sunday, but that leaves Sunday night free (maybe). So for now it's looking like my next gaming days will probably be Tuesday and Wednesday, since those are my next days off. Happy Holidays!!!! =)

Assassin's Creed (Part 2)

Well I haven't made a whole lot of progress since my last entry. I finished the Damascus kill and now I'm back at the headquarters with a choice of where to go. I didn't find all the flags in Damascus so I might head back, though I haven't decided. Anyway, I'm about to start up and see where it leads me.

Assassin's Creed

As I've mentioned in my previous posts, I've started playing Assassin's Creed. I'm not very far in the game at the moment, just now about to enter Damascus. I ran around collecting all the available Assassin Flags and King Richard Flags, killing all the Templar that I could (those guys are kind of tough when you take them head on), and getting my view points set up in the kingdom. Visually I think this game is amazing! I had some errands to run earlier today and then watched "Vampires Suck" with my girlfriend (not as funny as we thought it was going to be) and since I have the rest of the day off, I going to dive back in and try to make some progress.

Didn't get anything done

I had planned on starting Assassin's Creed the other night, but didn't get to start. I had a work thing last night that carried well into the night, then I watched the season finale of "The Walking Dead," with my girlfriend and another friend. We had planned to play Demon's Soul afterwards but we were exhausted from work and decided to call it a night after the show was over. Of course we can't wait for the next season to start and I hope AMC decides to pick it up for another season. Anyway, I have some time tonight so I'm going to fire up the PS3 and get started!

Assassin's Creed it is!!

After playing Clash of the Titans for about an hour last night, I've decided to shelve it and go ahead with Assassin's Creed. Part of me wants to just send Clash of the Titans back to Game Fly, but then another part of me wants to give it another go later. For some reason I just couldn't get into it last night. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for that type of game right after playing Afro Samurai. So, tonight I'm firing up Assassin's Creed and plan to make a go at it. Wish me luck!!!

Not sure!!!!

After beating Afro Samurai last night, I was going to go ahead and try a beat Assassins Creed, but then GameFly went and put a wrench in my plans. I received Clash of the Titans in the mail so I'm trying to decide which one I want to play. While I do own Assassins Creed and could play it anytime, with GameFly, I can keep Clash of the Titans as long as I want (I still have Yakuza 3) I guess I'm going to read a little on Clash of the Titans and if it seems like I can knock it out rather quickly (and maybe it has trophies =P) then I might go ahead and change it up.

Closer than I thought!

Well, I guess I really was almost to the end of Afro Samurai! I just finished the game and I'm not sure if I really enjoyed it or just played it because it sat on my shelf forever. I liked the commentary by Samuel L. Jackson, it seems like he really fits that role. It had me laughing on several occasions. The action was pretty cool but after a while it all felt the same and I was just in a hurry to finish the game so I could move on to something else. With not a lot of collectibles and no trophies, it was actually kind of quick to beat and since I have no desire at all to play through again on hard mode (after all whats the point with no trophies) I guess I'll just stick it back on the shelf with the satisfaction that its been beaten. Next up is Assassins Creed!

Way to much death!!!

Last night didn't exactly go as planned. I was hoping to finish off Afro Samurai, but only made it a bit farther. I stopped somewhere around the area that you face the third brother inside the clock like thing. I was getting my a$$ kicked when a buddy of mine came over to hang out for a while. We ended up playing the game we always play and I only play this game with him because no one else can really deal with the shear difficulty of the game. Demon's Souls is a game not for the weak. You are guaranteed to die over and over again. I don't think I've ever played a game that was as hard as this one. But maybe that's its appeal. I mean even though we keep on dying, and you have to pretty much start over again, when you make it to a new area its almost worth it. We decided that we're going to try and start making this a weekly ritual and try and make some ground in this game. Right now we're not that far in, still on the first level, but did manage to beat the first major boss in the Phalanx. Last night we made it to another boss in the Tower Knight, and we almost had him but he got the better of us in the end and we decided to call it quits. . . . for now. I'm going to try and finish Afro Samurai tonight if I can, but who knows.

Afro Samurai

I started playing Afro Samurai over the weekend since it's been sitting on my shelf for about a year and I haven't even played it once (other than the time I rented it a long time ago). I don't know how long the game is but I'm sure I'm almost through with it. It has been pretty fun though and I'm glad I've taken the time to give it a shot. Hopefully I can knock it out tonight and move on the the next game on my shelf that I haven't played since I bought it =)
