I miss Resistance 2's co-op mode so much, that was such a wild experience. Just chaos and explosions everywhere with actual team mechanics that didn't encourage teamplay, it REQUIRED it. Was still playing it off and on right up to the server shutdown.
Dumbest thing is you can still play the co-op locally with 2 player split screen, but the mode requires 3 players to function (shielding tanky soldier, healing/rezzing medic, ammo supplying and dps spec ops), so letting you play that way is basically pointless. You can get like halfway through a stage solo as medic since their main gun doesn't use ammo but spec ops can't survive without soldier and soldier can't function without spec ops or survive without medic, so yeah, miss the big group of people nuking aliens.
All that's left now really are a few videos around Youtube. Keep hoping the games get that rumored remaster collection but you KNOW the multiplayer elements will be stripped out if it happens.
It's not open world, it's not particularly impressive visually, the combat and gameplay aren't very intensive, what the hell are they doing?
Maybe they should've put a call into id to use their engine since it's optimized to get 8k120 on a Windows 95 PowerPC instead of whatever junk they're using currently.
Didn't the actor have some big meltdown recently about how much he hates people just knowing him as Trevor?
Speaking of, I recently watched that newer live action The Tick show and his character in that was great, weird mix of insane, sleezy and incredibly wholesome.
@Tiwill44: The first game seemed like something new and exciting but it ended up being a really middle of the road Ubisoft-like, despite its rave reviews.
I would say the sequel sold poorly because people learned what the game was going to be like with the past one and said "nah bro, I'm good."
@deathbychickens: RDR2 was supposed to receive story DLC, which was pretty deep in development, and it was supposed to get several more RD:O addons including more jobs but it was all canned because the game didn't meet the shareholders frankly absurd expectations, they basically shelved the whole franchise.
I was being cynical over the industry being ruined by uninterested parties whose only goals are YoY gains, and when a market is saturated, rather than being happy with more money than God they demand that you invent new Gods who have more money so they can have more money than them.
@deathbychickens: Yeah, all that DLC they put out for games that make an absolute assload of money but not as much as the shareholders wanted like, say, Red Dead 2...
