Pictures from my favorite canyon, Big Cottonwood Canyon above...there are a couple of good ski resorts up this canyon, a lot of good trails, and it's only 20 minutes from where I grew up.

And I'll finish off with more mountains near Salt Lake. You can tell that I love mountains, right?

It's a sad day

I liked the Bleach filler.

Not only did I like the filler, I liked the new captain they introduced, I liked his third seat, and I could see flaws even while enjoying the episode...bah. Anyway, I'll be going to the good judgment doctor later today to see if there's anything wrong...wish me luck!

Pretty Pretty Everywhere

Llama_guy posted some pictures of his beautiful country Norway for me to enjoy in my comments, and it got me to thinking...I wonder how many people truly love the places they live? Do they find beauty everywhere they go like I do? I live in Utah, one of the most dry, barren places you might find, and I think it's gorgeous. I find so much varying beauty, there is something so spectacular almost everywhere I go! It makes me think that if Utah had an ocean front, we would have everything we would ever need!

I wish I could have taken pictures of the canyon I drove through today, there was still snow in some areas but the mountains were breathtaking. I love mountains! They are so majestic and beautiful, every different season brings something new and refreshing to their heights. Draped in snow, the lush green of spring, summer's contrast of dead grass and pine trees, and fall's crimson crown all become my beautiful mountains.

On another note, I'm looking forward to tonight's Bleach disaster of a filler! Supposedly the crew's back in the real world? Whatever happened to Hueco Mundo?!

Strawberries

Don't you think that strawberries are just the essence of late spring? I love the way fresh strawberries smell, all lemony and sweet. I bought 42 pounds of strawberries yesterday so I could make strawberry jam with my mom and sisters, drove 40 minutes with the strawberries chillin' in my backseat. The fragarance was intoxicating, I was in such a good mood!

Anyway, I know this doesn't have anything to do with TV, but...eh. They don't really care what I post here anyway, right? As long as I don't swear it up too much. I guess I'll add some TV stuff anyway, because I did watch The Office last night. I loved the Jim and Pam moments and cringed at the Michael ones...as usual. I do think Jim's going to blow their Jam if he really follows through with his threats. After that, my hubbend decided to watch episodes 166 and 167 of Bleach...ALL ON HIS OWN! I was like a proud Momma. Except wife. He loves the part where Ichigo tells Grimmjow, "If you have time to run your mouth you have time to fight!" Or whatever it is that he says. He giggles every time. Lol, really, giggles.

What's your favorite part of Spring?

Stupid Poo

So, since I'm married and don't have children--I have two younger sisters that both have kids, and all my older siblings do, too (I'm not that old, I just live in Utah...to help perpetuate more Utah myths), my dog Truffle is now kind-of like my child. She's so cute, her whole body just wags along with her tail when you get home or give her love, and she's so good.

Truffle pees and poops outside when we take her outside, but I get a little frustrated with her because she won't tell us when she needs to go. Her solution to wanting to go outside to socialize OR to go potty is the same signal, she whines and tries to get you to pet/pay attention to her. Yikes. So she's peed and pooped inside because I've taken her outside just half an hour before and figure, "Meh, she's good. I just let her out a little while ago, I'll take her on a walk in an hour." I don't want her to think that I'll take her out if she whines, that would be ridiculous and she would take full advantage of it. So, what I'm thinking, is if when I take her outside specifically to let her go to the bathroom, I scratch on the door like I want her to and then take her outside. Hopefully this works, because delightful poo surprises when I go down the hallway are not so delightful. If anybody who reads this and knows what to do, please...help solve the poo mystery!

aaah! Yoruichi news!

As you may know, one of my favorite characters is Yoruichi from Bleach. There's more news about her today, apparently she used to be a captain. I'm excited!

Funny, for a person whose favorite character can turn into a cat (sweet as it is), I don't like cats. I went and got a doggy like the Internet said, and she's a sweetie.

March Smarch

So, it's supposed to snow again today. We've had such beautiful weather the past week or so, and it got up to 65!! In March! But I guess that's spring for you, delicious weather one moment and slushy streets the next.

I just read the Bleach manga for the week and loved it. The only problem is, there's no anime this week and there's no Avatar, Stargate Atlantis, Office, um...or any other shows that I love that are on. And it's going to snow. What's a girl to do? I can't go pretend to be an outdoorsy-type, I hate playing in the snow. I guess I'll have to rely on the Internet to save the day. Tell me what to do, Inty!

Anyway, I'm looking for a cute dog to adopt. I really want a Basenji, but I don't want to shell out the $600-700 that they cost. Doesn't somebody just want to give me one? Seriously, they don't smell, they don't bark, they hardly shed, and they love you to pieces. Doesn't that sound like a great dog? They even clean themselves like cats. Crazy. Anyway, I think I'll have to settle for a poodle mix, beagle, or American Fox Terrier. Maybe a lab? Ah, something to research...now my "what to do" quandry is over...

Edit: AnotherAnimeFan, you are hereby mentioned in my first blog. :P 8-15-08
