@travisstaggs In favor of what? 1-5? Stars instead of numbers? A score on any scale is still going to be some percentage out of 100. Are you suggesting that they just leave scores out of the reviews entirely, and just point out the pros and cons? They do that anyway, so I don't know how omitting a score makes any difference. That would only benefit those that never read reviews and only look at the scores, forcing them to read one for once.

That is just it isn't it? He said it himself. "a box for everyone." That is what smartphones are. Consoles are not in competition with phones and tablets. That is like saying racecars are up against hybrids. There is no comparison, and each attracts a different crowd. Sure, some people that drive racecars might own a hybrid, but they would never enter their hybrid in a race. I am getting a bit off track, but you get the idea.

@bkohary Or how about actually being able to make your own damn squad so you don't have to get lucky to be in the same squad as your friends.

@grnsuperman4 @SIDEFX1 @64-bit I cannot get my nephew off my PC when he is here (15). If my computer chair had a hole in it (like a toilet), and he could be fed through an iv, he would never get up until I kick him off. Even the little ones argue over getting to play games next.

@game_more While I get your point, and it makes sense, we are not talking about a kill death ratio, or some other game related gain. This was done in a real world money venue. If you put your pin number in an ATM and select quick cash, then it suddenly keeps spitting out 20s, that doesn't make it ok to just take it because the glitch is not your fault.

I don't get why people would pay 155 bucks for some extra junk. And that is what it is, junk. I mean, unless you keep the entire collector's edition sealed, and never break that seal, it loses value to other potential collectors right away. If you are going to play the game, then unless you buy a 2nd regular copy, the collector's edition becomes used and worth less money. All the extra stuff in there really isn't worth the extra 100 dollars if you ask me. I would just as well save that money for another game or 2. Oh well. Some people just have to have that stuff.

Imagine if somehow Obama gets impeached, or killed. This clown will be in charge. Taxing violent video games doesn't curtail anything, it only makes it more expensive for gamers. If you want money to go to victims of gun violence, set up a charity. Why should the public have to pay extra for their entertainment based on the transgressions of just a handful of people?

And on top of that, there is still no proof or solid correlation between violent games and violent behavior. If so, where are the millions of violent COD gamers? Shouldn't there be like 100 shootings in every city if there really is some definitive link between the two? Politicians always have knee jerk reactions when it comes to violence. Hell, Beavis and Butthead on MTV got blamed for teenagers that burned things to the ground and other random acts of vandalism. Video games are just an easy scapegoat for politicians right now. This too shall pass, hopefully.

The fact that you cannot just flat out buy something without first purchasing points is just stupid. They intentionally did this to create an illusion about what the points are worth, not unlike casinos using chips at table games. Sure the user is probably aware of how many dollars they spend on initial point packages, but sooner or later (unless you are vigilant about breaking down the exact points per dollar) most users are going to lose sight of what they are really worth when depleting a pool of points. Casinos use chips (for several reasons) because players are more likely to part with chips than the same amount of money even though the chips are clearly marked with values. It is much easier to toss 4 red chips worth 5 dollars each into the betting ring than it is to part with a 20 dollar bill. Somehow the mind is tricked into believing that the chips are somehow not worth as much as they really are. Microsoft did something similar with MS points, but they one upped that trick by making the point values much different than dollar values. Sneaky? Yes. Illegal? No. But the part that is somewhat questionable is charging 5 dollars for 400 points, and most things in the MS store end in 99 cents. This floating penny gets unspent, which forces users to buy more points in order to give that floating penny value again, otherwise kiss it goodbye. Yuck. Good riddance to MS points.
