My friends and I all played violent games way before the ESRB even existed, and all of us turned out just fine. They are just looking for a scapegoat. The bigger problem with these shootings is kids accessibility to their parent's guns. Get a gun safe for Christ's sake!

@buccomatic I didn't realize that games were supposed to be PSAs.

@buccomatic @draco934 Yes. I have played such awesome games, that I just had to invite friends over to play, thus spreading enjoyment by buying extra controllers for my console. I have even bought games as presents for people if I really enjoyed it.

@buccomatic Most of those people that do listen to that kind of music and are violent criminals would be locked up anyway. They are not emulating the music lyrics, but instead the music is emulating their lifestyle as it would be without it anyway.

It isn't video games, nor film, nor music that is to blame. It is just the fact that some people are fucking nuts! If all of these forms of entertainment are to blame, then how come the games that sell several million copies do not spawn several million psycho killers? Millions of people have watched the Saw movies, listened to gangster rap and death metal, yet there are only a few random acts of violence to show for it. Mental health issues cannot be blamed on the entertainment industry. There are plenty of people that watch sit coms and funny movies. Does that make them all comedians, or want to be comics? Stuff like this is just silly. There always has to be a finger pointed at something, just like most parents will blame their rotten child's friends as the bad influence instead of looking themselves in the mirror and realizing that either they are a bad parent, or their kid is just simply a bad apple.

@SCImonTemplar @Setho10 Skyrim has bigger sales numbers and has GOTY awards all over the place. DLC for Skyrim even another year from now will sell better than this Rage DLC. Developers making DLC for Skyrim makes more sense. I am not faulting ID for releasing DLC this late, I just don't think that it will do all that well since the game was somewhat of a letdown to most gamers anyway. I think most people have already lost interest in Rage by now, but Skyrim has a huge following, especially with the modding community for PC.

@endorbr I actually enjoyed playing the mini card game more than the actual game itself.

@Setho10 Well, there is a difference between releasing DLC several months after a game comes out, and over a year. Most people have moved on to other games by then.

@hvypetals There is a mod to change the bullet damage in FC2. The mercs in Far Cry 1 were bullet sponges too, but not as bad as FC2. Still, that's what headshots are for!
