I remember Halo 2 for Xbox being the last game that really pushed the Xbox harware to it's limit (so some claim), or to it's full potential. I wouldn't doubt that this game is pushing current gen to the max. I am just surprised it took 7 years to do so.
I am just speculating here, but I think this game is already done. I have a feeling that they are hoping to dump some systems with this title before they release the PS4, and that is why the game is not going to release for another 6 months. Lots of 360s sold just recently just for Halo4. Maybe they are hoping for a similar push of stockpiled PS3s. I am probably wrong, but like I said, I am just speculating.
@gamefreak215jd @neuroboy @D3nnyCrane @Kaz32 I didn't mind it so much in FC2. It actually breaks up the monotony of driving to and fro. I can understand how it can be frustrating for some, but what was more annoying than the respawns to me was that the enemies were total bullet sponges. There is a mod that makes em go down much easier, but it takes it to the other extreme IMO.
Not for the whole game, only a few story missions is what it sounds like. They realized that respawning guard camps is one of the things that hampered the experience in FC2. You can liberate or capture them now, so that the checkpoints become safe havens. Didn't you read the review?
