@Kravyn81 Even Al Qaeda leadership have acknowledged that he is dead. Just because the pulblic is not allowed to see footage of a clandestine operation and graphic photos of a scalp blown off doesn't mean that the raid never occurred. You are delusional and another Michael Moore wanna be if you really believe that the raid is all a big hoax. I suppose we never landed on the moon, the CIA killed JFK, and FDR allowed Pearl Harbor to happen too....right?
@JDWolfie If you read the article, there is no mention of a mission where you go and kill Bin Laden. The title of the article may be somewhat misleading, but in reality, it is only a map pack for multiplayer with locales that are supposed to be places that Bin Laden was familiar with in Pakistan.
Sales will pick up again in October (Xcom, Dishonored) if not later this month (Fifa13, Borderlands2). Then you have the holiday season after that. This is not really news considering everyone and their pets know that new hardware is around the corner. I am sure iPhone4 sales take a big dip when iPhone5 gets announced too. Go figure.
When I scrapped all of my PS1 games along with the system (XBOX was just out), they offered me between .25c-$5.00 for my games (had around 50). I wish I remember the games that they offered .25c for, but I remember that Resident Evil 3 was the game that got me the most. It had only been out for maybe 6 months. It might have been EB games, but I pretty have pretty much loathed these types of stores ever since. I can only imagine what those games I had would be worth now. Probably would get nearly the same offers, if not worse.
"Heck, even watching other players go at it can be entertaining in and of itself, as you shout at them to do this or not do that, knowing full well they can't hear you." After you are dead, people can still ghost for you using Ventrilo or some other VOIP. Since I have dumped god knows how many hours into Source, this one might be worth the price.
Aren't these games kinda like Left 4 Dead in that once you play 2, you never touch the original again (especially after the DLC)? I haven't played them all to really know for sure, but it seems to me that there are probably only a couple in the collection that are really worth it.
NBA Live was cool back in the XBOX days, but 2K has taken the NBA to new heights. If they would just fix the passing and make it a bit easier to penetrate the lane (w/o losing the ball), 2K would be nearly perfect. Live was too easy to dunk on almost every possession.
So they buy your original Zelda NES cartridge for 1$ because, "Nobody really plays it anymore, and there aren't many working systems out there. A dollar is all I can offer."
Then a sticker gets slapped on it with a 25$ price tag as soon as you leave.
The hell with free to play. If I want to get "value" that is obvious and try before I buy, I just play the demo (PC). If there is no playable demo, I will read reviews, watch gameplay videos, see what is being said in forums and THEN I will make a more educated purchasing decision. Games don't need to be free to play in order to be educated about a purchase. Moore acts like EA would be doing all gamers a great service by allowing everyone to try before they buy, but the business model is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Thanks but no thanks. Free to play is like offering free baseball game tickets. By the time you buy a couple beers, a hotdog, a souvenir and a program, you are out more money than the ticket would have cost anyway. Sure you don't have to buy any of that stuff at the game, but it sure makes the day at the park much better. They know this, and that is what they are trying to do. Don't be fooled by their attempts to come off as consumer friendly. EA is just another power hungry, money grubbing, greedy corporation that would do anything to make additional profit no matter the public opinion.
