It's funny how everyone here has undying loyalty to a developer (in general) who really only cares about their bottom line and who is capable & maybe even willing to exploit them as soon as it means extra cash lining their pockets. How naive.

Anyway, whenever a game is purchased, the developer and publisher get their cut of the money. After that property is purchased and after they have gotten their cut of the profit for the product that THEY determined the price of, that should be it. Anything else is double dipping.

What's next? I am going to buy an old couch from my friend, but wait! You have to pay the original manufacturer an extra $20 dollars, because you didn't buy it new and, umm, they deserve it

Seriously people...

[QUOTE="Rikusaki"]

You had to buy two games before November 23rd.

Rikusaki

Well, well. See, why don't they send something like that to my email, instead of the crap emails they send me every few days that don't really have anything worth the space they take up in my email in-box? Who bothers to read their blog (other than Rikusaki)? Or maybe they did email it, and I missed that one amidst the mountain of garbage they send...

You're missing the point. :?

If you didn't believe in the service, you wouldn't have bought two games. You didn't.

I didn't know of it either. I signed up and bought a few games because I fell in love with the concept.

"It takes a certain kind of person to try out something that is an entirely new concept, and beyond that, spend hard-earned money on it, believing that it has a future. Because Founding Members like you believed in OnLive, you made it possible for us to analyze OnLive usage patterns, for us to be able to test millions of Internet connections throughout the US, and for us to understand what users like and don't like. Without your help, we could not have gotten to where we are today."

Say what you want about the hardware, but that is a classy move by OnLive. It kinda makes you want to give them a shot lol

I'll just grab a pair of pants and a Shirt and get the heck out of the place.

No Game or Gaming Gear is worth risking my life over.

Where is the fun in that? :P

[QUOTE="Jynxzor"]I live in a Igloo, therefore no need to worry about fire. Beat that.iAtrocious

Instead, your igloo melts down because of an intense summer, damaging your gaming systems beyond repair.

Lol should have bailed on the igloo when you had the chance :P

You only have a few seconds to reasonably grab as much gaming gear as you can, what do you take? And if it is a system, what game is in there right now?

For me, I would have my PS3 in one arm and my 360 in the other. Screw the cables, i'll buy more. Would love to squeeze in a controller for each, but don't think it's possible.

PS3 has uncharted 2 in it right now. Xbox 360 has NCAA 11. Darn it :P

Watch, I bet Nintendo will be releasing a new system this upcoming E3.

Zanoh
I think they have to. With HD graphics, improved online, and another top-tier 3rd party exclusive with a price point of $249, i bet Nintendo would be a real force in general, not just in a particular market.

TC is right on the money as far as buying Xbox360 because of friends.

I've been gaming on PS3 for awhile now. My friend kept begging me to get a 360.Walmart has a special 250gb xbox with $75 gift card in slect local stores right now, so I "jumped in".I have given Xbox Live a lot of crap the past few months, but it has been a revelation. Still love PS3 of course though, just saying.

Not trying to start anything, so I will leave it at that. But I agree TC.

Scores and sales matter to me.

Scores mainly to reinforce what I think about a game, whether good or bad. Sales only to make sure I won't download the eventual DLC it will have and end up playing alone or not at all.

Just for the record, not here to bash the Wii :P but it is a serious question.

Nintendo has a firm grasp on the family-friendly market, and even that may be an understatement. But the Kinect seems to have enough ease of use and popular backing to maybe take a cut of that pie away from them.

I would think the two chief things standing Microsoft's way is:

1. The Kinect costs almost as much as the Wii system does, which may turn off that very segment of people they are trying to get.

2. The Nintendo Brand has a long history of producing top-tier, family-friendly content and is known as the go-to system for such content.

Personally, I think Microsoft has a shot to at least take a small part away from Nintendo, but it is very unlikely that they do. Thoughts?

Also, if hypothetically Microsoft was successful in taking a significant portion of the market from Nintendo, what would be Nintendo's next move? I think it is an interesting question.
