MS doesn't nickel and dime anyone. It's dollars now, and lots of em. Sony definitely has the right idea about how to treat their customers with some basic decency.

Not a bit (PC gamer heh), but that does suck if the rumors are true. Unless of course by 'no used games' they intend to take a digital distribution approach in which case that would make sense. I agree that some games just aren't worth the $60 price tag especially considering the cost of additional dlc, so here's hoping that all of this is hogwash and what not.Â
With the new systems coming out, this subject is even more pointless than it usually is. In response to your question I say the Gamecube trumps them all. Time travel machine, coffee maker, and cube all in one.
The end of Max Payne 2 really did me in. Also FFX, but I was 11 at the time, but now I, rightfully, feel ashamed of that.AAllxxjjnnAin't no shame in that lol. FFX was a great game and seeing Auron getting 'sent' was more than any 11 year old should have to bear.
The original Kingdom Hearts when Sora and Kairi get split up at the end while Utada Hikaru's Simple and Clean is playing choked me up a bit. Twas years ago but man that was a brilliant game. But the only one that ever made me cry was Lost Odyssey. All those short stories and Kaim losing his daughter but finding his wife and grand children was a tear jerkier, at least for me lol.
If Nintendo goes the way of SEGA and works solely as a software developer I admittedly won't be disappointed. I love Nintendo but their consoles are just not appealing. The more they try to innovate, the more disinterested in them I become. Third party support has always been their biggest problem and not even six months into the console's life we're seeing numerous articles about developers who refuse to put their titles on the Wii U. The tech behind their new machine is already dated and to me it's really shaping out to be a similar situation that the Dreamcast faced many years ago - A new console with a unique design about to be done in by the big dogs who've yet to show their hands.
You can't really blame Nintendo for all of this though. They don't have the finacial clout that Microsoft and Sony possess. In the end, with competition coming from all sides I doubt Nintendo will be able to last even in the handheld market where they've reigned supreme for so long. As sad as it will be to see them crumble, assuming that becomes a reality, having their first party titles and characters on other systems would be amazing.
Civ.
Second string support from developers.
Not brand new after Dead Space 2. I'll wait for it to be around $10-20 or so during a steam/origin sale.
