Whereas, on console where skyrim is sandpaper on the eyes, charging full price for the upgrade is a cash grab. I mean the first time around, we paid full price for years of work done by hundreds of people. This time around, not so much.

@sellingthings: so you have a competent quad core cpu which originally retailed at around $350...and you have it overclocked. Not sure how this is a bottleneck for 1080p gaming. It wasn't then, isn't now. If anything, I'm surprised it hasn't overheated or blown out your mobo by now.

Also, Bethesda games used to be cpu heavy. Now they are coding for gpu. Your competent, and very modern 970 is vr capable at an entry level so, I would hope it can handle 1080p

Not top of the line but, decent for $500. I highly doubt you can cherry pick a better rig for that money unless you wait for sales and then you still need a windows licence, controller, mouse and k/b and maybe even a monitor....nice try though...

I guess you don't realize that most laptops, tablets, tv boxes, Walmart specials, gaming pc's over 2 years old are the majority of pc's out there. You can just say a pc is better as a blanket statement.

Furthermore, Skyrim SE is unnecessarily demanding just like all Bethesda games
