Random question but what's everyone's favourite cuisine? I love Asian food. Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese food in that order. I've tried Filipino food from my ex's... let's just say I'm not a fan (sorry...).

Otherwise, I guess I'd say Middle Eastern food (Mediterranean I suppose). Arabic food. Maybe I'm biased because I'm Middle Eastern but damn, I love some Shish Tawook, Kafta Kebabs, Falafel, Shawarma, etc.

I'm lucky I guess being in Toronto, we have a ton of different restaurants from a variety of cultures. I never get bored.

@roboccs: Yeah, I know that all too well. It's funny because last night I was talking to her and she was telling me about how she's been taking more alone time (we used to see each other 2-3 times a week, now it's like once a week) because she wants to focus on herself and figuring out her school situation.

@roboccs: She's actually really excited to get back into school but she hasn't figured out what program is going to work for her. I agree she shouldn't be too complacent about it though. She's not looking to mooch off of me by any means. It's early still but she hasn't yet -- unlike my ex who had a better income than I did but expected $1,000 handbags "because it would be nice once in a while".

How important is it to you guys that your partner has a career? I've just started dating someone about 3 months ago and this conversation came up with one of my friends on the train. My girlfriend isn't in school right now - she was before but withdrew and she wanted time off to think about what she really wanted to do. She wanted to go back for this fall but decided she wants another year off as she hasn't extensively researched programs - but she knows what she wants to do.

My friend basically said that if she's this indecisive that I don't want that and I should break up with her now or try to push her to do school now rather than later. I totally disagreed with what he said because of a number of reasons. She's only 21, so she still has a lot of time to figure it out. She's working at a grocery store - as a supervisor and getting more responsibilities - and she's also just a lot nicer than my ex. I was in an abusive relationship with my ex, where she abused me emotionally and it really ruined my confidence so this has been a nice change.

I really like her, but I was wondering what you guys thought. Is that a big deal to you or is it a small issue? I think it's not a big deal but my friend seems to think it is ... and now I'm a bit lost that maybe I'm wrong, but I mean like I said before... I really like her so that's why I don't think it's a big deal.

@Mozelleple112: I hope so too but so far, it's doesn't look like it's going to be a good generation. At least for me, I've been completely underwhelmed.

I'm not familiar with the American political system, but I have to assume that eventually (within the next few years) they'll have to allow gay marriage country wide, rather than state by state.

As more states make it legal, it'll bring more issues when gay couples move from to a different state where it's not legal, correct?

I drink both but given a choice I'd take coffee. I used to drink coffee as a double double, but for about a year or so I stopped. Just black coffee is the best.
