@Redsyrup Sure, because XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Bastion, Star Command, Final Fantasy V, Sonic CD, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Back to the Future, Walking Dead, Monkey Island Tale, and a lot of others games on iOS are basically just Angry Birds clones, right?
@theend3r @Marky360 Please explain how iPhone is overpriced but Xbox LIVE is not? Let's be honest, "overpriced" only means "I wouldn't pay that for it" and is not much of an argument.
@PosiTVEMinD355 What do you mean by "less variety of apps"? The App Store still has more apps than Google Play, and it's very rare that an app is available only for Android (the opposite is way more common). Also, while I wish that Apple had a 128GB iPhone, I hate SD cards with a passion, and I think that most people are thankful for not having to fiddle with SD cards anymore. Same thing about USB and HDMI ports. I understand that some people want these options, but most people don't. About the stereo speakers, while I agree that it would be a nice thing to have, I'd be curious whether the difference is notable or not on such a small device (the iPad has stereo speaker but it's several time bigger than an iPhone).
@kpolicoff @kurnlklank @Dantes0007 @poster012 Or if your console breaks down and you get another one, you'll also need to re-buy all your games a second time. This sounds like a great idea... for Sony.
@tachsniper You can cover your ears if you don't want to hear, but the truth is that developers and publishers lose money they could *potentially* make off of games if all consumers were buying their games new.
It's simple math really: when a developer sells 1 million new copies of a $60 game and GameStop sells 500,000 used copies, the dev will make about $15 million (devs typically only get 25% of the game's retail price).
If they could sell all 1.5 millions copies new by preventing used sales, they'd make $22.5 million instead: used sales took away $7.5 million of potential sales.
