@sladakrobot: Yeah, I'm not sure what OP's point was to be honest. PlayStation has always had the most solid exclusives, not unlike Nintendo although with a broader audience (Nintendo skews towards family friendly content).
Xbox has some good console exclusives too -Halo, Forza, Fable, etc.- but because they're all available on PC too - and probably on even more platforms in the future thanks to xCloud- there's less incentive to get a new Xbox. If you like multiplatform games, don't care for Sony's exclusives and don't want to buy an expensive PC that needs to be updated on a regular basis, the Xbox Series X is the best choice as it will very likely have the best version of these games for a reasonable price.
@sladakrobot: I think they meant that the PlayStation has a large amount of exclusive, highly-rated franchises. Just off the top of my head, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Infamous, The Last Guardian, Shadow of the Colossus, Marvel's Spider-Man, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, WipEout and I would also consider third party games like Bloodborne, FFVII Remake and Horizon Zero Dawn, which may be ported to other consoles later on but are still to this day PS exclusives.
@j3diknightdave: Having a character played by someone from a different gender or color doesn't change their gender or color in the source material. There are literally dozens of live-action and animated film / TV show based on the original books. They're all adaptations. By definition they won't and can't follow the original works to the letter.
I hate to be a stick in the mud but I just don't understand the appeal of Fall Guys. What is it about this game that people like? I guess me being in my early 40's I wouldn't be expected to understand. I grew up in a time when games were simple and multiplayer meant you were in the same room as were the other players.
I'm older than you and I enjoy the simple, dumb fun of playing in bursts of 10-20 mins. It was free on PS+ and it takes more skills than it seems; sure there's a component of luck, particularly with team games, but once you get the hang of each game you'll fare a lot better than people who still haven't.
@Atzenkiller: By your own definition, if iOS is a monopoly then Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and so on are also monopolies. You can't run or sell apps on these platforms unless Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo approve them and publishers pay them a percentage of their sales.
I'm not sure I follow your logic about the Epic Store. It's OK for Epic to take a percentage on each sale through their store but it's not for Apple to take a cut on each sale through their own?
