there are few things that comes to my mind when thinking about it

1. about the liquid and solid issue: i never was clear why ocelot took liquids hand (guess i have to play MGS2 again). but the only reason i see is cause he wanted to keep the good genes... which brings me to the first theory of why snake was trying to off himself (i know it aint the issue here :) )... my main issue with that is, u dont end ur genes by shouting urself, that just stupid. so what was he talking about ending the MEME? killing ocelot and destroying the hand...

2. guys, remember the first MGS2 trailer. Kojima replaced raiden in everyshot with snake, so that ppl think that snake was the hero. even in the early covers snake was on it, where in the later once it was raiden. he did that cause he wanted to keep it a secret :)

so who was the young snake? new clone, son of someone or just a mask like the raiden one in 3.... who cares, wait for the game.

i can c where u coming from man, and givin the option id rather have my ps3 only play games and can play online than have all the other crap and make it cost that much

yeah, they talk about it's optional and free,, no it's not... if it was just the console itll cost less... and all the other options are honest to goodness halfassed...

i mean the browser? please, it's a joke. the movie player? tell me why in hell is it limited to few formats.... ohh ppl say "wait" sony will update it... ok tell when? they didnt wait to take our $600, dont get wrong, i didnt mind paying, still dont...

will, mmos can work multiplat, so far i think only FFXI does that with ps2 (ps3), 360 and pc all togather

so i dont c why others cant, they said team fortress team (developers) play multiplat, but they'll release it each alone for some reason

u people do relize why they watered down e3 (sort of speak)... it's cause of stuff like this from the old ones

it has changed from industery ppl gathering to fans gathering and looking for new games. they dont want that, they want e3 to be for investors and industery ppl. yes they'll show the new game, but the main idea is not to do flashy stuff like the last years. it cuts from the developers time for this stuff.

expect a new trailer or gameplay, but i dont think anything flashy will take place (ala the big EA booths), heck even Ryan from the MGS4 said konami is not yet 100% sure they'll show MGS4 there (but rest assure it will)

I know for a FACT that Big Boss CANNOT appear in MGS4 in PHYSICAL FORM. I think its obvious to ANY MGS fan. The know that Big Boss has always had an impact in all MGS games, including MGS1 and 2. But in MGS4, Big Boss will most likely be TALKED ABOUT by Solid Snake and Liquid, i imagine Liquid might still be in search of Big Boss' "Soldier Genes" like he was in MGS1. Also remember that Big Boss' body (more like corpse actually) is 100% BURNED (from MG2: Solid Snake) and kept inside a chamber that absolutely freezes his body in all its entirety and guarded by the USA government. I HIGHLY DOUBT Big Boss will appear in physical form in MGS4.

Im about to explain something to you that i hope you understand. At the E3 06 trailer you see Solid Snake holding a gun up to his mouth, he looks like he's ready to commit suicide. Why?????

let me clarify, The Boss was the most experienced soldier during WW1 and WW2. During the Cold War...Naked Snake had to kill her in order to complete his mission, The Boss already knew this and accepted her death by the hands of her most loyal companion EVER.

Now fast forward to MGS: Portable Ops for the PSP...

~ Big Boss - "NO! Im NOT gonna live my life the way the Boss did!". Shortly after the events of Portable Ops, Big Boss leaves the US government forever and goes on to form the ultimate haven for soldiers and mercenaries called....Outer Heaven.

Did anyone manage to catch that? The Boss AND Big Boss....2 of the most respected soldiers in all of history wanted either death, or to not live with the burden that the title which "Boss" brings upon the achiever. The title of Big Boss is that of a sad, burden brought upon the user. Why? Obviously, The Boss and Big Boss felt that way if you played, as you can cleary see the sadness in Big Boss at the end of MGS3.

Now...lets again fast forward to Solid Snake's E3 06 trailer, where he's ready to pull that trigger.

~Solid Snake [says] - "But theres one more thing i must do. One last punishment i must endure. I have to erase my genes, wipe the MEME(memories, genes, your legacy, etc.)from the face of the earth"

And then he says at the end credits..."Some legends are MEANT to die".

Now why did he say all that? I believe that Solid SNake does not wish to carry on the legacy of Big Boss with him. It was a burden for the The Boss. A burden for Big Boss. And another burden for Solid Snake. What Solid Snake is try to accomplish by committing suicide is...that he wants the BREAK the chain of Big Boss. How one person gets it, then it goes on to the next,. and then the next. Specifically with the Snakes.

And by killing himself, he'll break the chains of the Boss title...and not pass on, "sins to the next generation".

I really hope some of you guys caught the meaning of the Boss title.

i respect ur opinion and what u r saying... the thing i dont understand. and u cant take this from the E3 trailer is, u cant wipe ur genes by killing urself, that's stupid. we all know the boss was dead, and he was cloned after.

im assuming that speach will be used in the game (the one in E3), but it wont be at that moment. Kojima tend to like to manupilate the trailers...

the bigger point i see is, Solid Snake was never the guy to carry on the lagacy of BigBoss, it was liquid who was suppose to... that's why in the end of MGS1 ocelot said "the inferior one won after all" (something to that meaning)...

and that as the only reason why ocelot (imo) took liquids arm, to keep the DNA and in tern keep the legacy... so what was snake reffering to when he said he needs to whipe out the MEME? meaning distroy liquids hand (and body for all that matter)

hey, that's all what i think.... then again, kojima can change everything, heck MGS2 trailer was all shot with snake as the hero just for us to discover later that Raiden was in his place... who to say that this old snake wont be replaced by the young one in the game. and that there is some missions or part where ull play as BB :P

now dont get me wrong ppl, i did play Odin Sphere (still playing, on the 3rd charecter now)

GOTY? no way in hell... and for those who say there is no slow downs? dude, play against the undead queen, the whole fight is slow down... and i play it on a ps3, yes the drowing is awsome

my second beef against the game,, it's too damn repetative... 3 charecters (so far, i know it's 5) and u repeat the same stages, same bosses and same enimies,,, that's not fun. i dont know about u guys, but i really didnt enjoy that. it's like repeating the same stuff with just different attacks..

the game is good, and playable. but not GOTY, sorry
