It felt to much like the 2nd one. IMHO if they left the ending the way it was before the credits ended I would have liked it a hell of a lot more because it would have left the series with a powerful ending.

Sadly Too Human. I tried so hard to like it because it was a cool concept, but I can't get past the whole right thumbstick to attack.

I personally loved the series, so I would welcome a sequel with open arms.

[QUOTE="adastos"][QUOTE="HoldThePhone"]

Here's why:

  • Mainstream appeal (hot character designs, guns, spaceships, sci-fi action)
  • Stunning and colorful visuals (that goes for the in-game scenes too)
  • Epic soundtrack
  • An inevitablely compelling story
  • Has two spin-offs (which means even more fanboys discussing it and tying things together)
  • Main installment is multiplat (will definately surpass 10 million)

FFX almost did it and it was only on the PS2, so FFXIII should easily manage it. Hopefully it will also continue the tradition of making the design of FF better with each game. It's going back to turnbased so it will be interesting to see.too_much_eslim

Why do people keep calling Versus and Agito spin offs? They are indeed set in the same universe, but I mean unless the characters show up in the 13 story line, which they don't, then yes they can be. It is like saying Finalfantasy 12 was a spin off of Final Fantasy tactics.

They technically are spinoffs. FXIII is the main game. However these spinoffs are being treated like main games though.

In what way are they "technically" spin offs?

Good enough to buy two PS3's. ^_^ It is a reason to buy a PS3 over anything else though. Also if you played through the series you would have to be insane to skip 4 or delaying yourself from getting it sooner. The game is loaded with nostalgia. It may have the easiest final boss fight ever, but imo it is the most epic one to date and you would probably play the fight multiple times.

Hmm... maybe calling it this will give them an excuse for just making it like Halo only a different character instead of a stealth action game that both the trailer and original title gave off.
