[QUOTE="adrake4183"]eagle, I am not sure I agree that fps games are way shorter. What fps was 20 hours five years ago? Even if you go back 10 to something like Half life, it was more of a puzzle game than straight shooter or Deus Ex which was more of an RPG. I am having trouble remembering how long the old fps were but I know for sure as far as third person goes games like Max Payne and Mafia were 10-15 hours. COD 4 was a complete rip off at 5 hours but I thought crysis2 was plenty long enough at a little over 10. I think its the same length as crysis and as far cry. eagle63

games like doom3,prey,no one lives forever,far cry,quake4 usualy were 20 hours in length i guess most are older than 5 years,but my point was the length of gamplay is steadily declining over the years.

Well I haven't played doom 3 but the rest of those were not 20 hour games. Still it was nice in the days before multiplayer when the single player game had to be good. Prey and no one lives forever had personality. I guess the closest game that came out recently would be borderlands. It was over 20 hours.

Maybe its just me, but I really enjoyed DA2. I must be wierd, but I had a great time with the story, the characters, the combat and my female rogue Hawke. Only the recycled dungeons bothered me, but I can live with that. It's not a masterpiece of gaming, but neither was DA1.

I thought it was a great game. Plenty of content and a good pacing. Better characters than the first and while many people have complained about the combat, I thought it was a lot less frustrating than the first. However, the recycled dungeons really bothered me too.

If it is a windows machine the default password is "ntlives" for 99% of them. I think some manufactures changed this but its definitely worth a try. Also you might google for other common bios passwords. I used to know dell's but can't remember at the moment.

you really need to talk to the people handling minecrafts transactions. No one here can help you. I used a visa card and it worked fine. Most likely if the authentication failed the expiration date, verification number, name, address/zip code or even the actual card number was entered wrong.

Wasn't GTA IV a steam only game? I could be wrong. Anyway it is technically illegal to download an iso even if you own the game although I don't see much moral problem there. However you also risk viruses and trojans doing that. What you can do is go to a videogame store (ones that sell used video games are the best shot) and ask about cleaning up the disks. They can spin and polish the disks for really cheap, maybe just a dollar or two and you will have your disks good as new.

You'll get better help if you post what video card you are using. is it officially supported? Have you tried turning Physx off? To me it seems like this is most likely an issue with your graphic card failing and not the game being played. I might be tempted to open up your computer while running and make sure the gpu fan is working. Also posting this in the hardware forum might help.

I was in the CitesXL beta so they might have fixed some of the issues but here are my impressions. In cities XL you are heavily reliant on others online to produce what your location cannot produce. Some commodities like oil were rare and basically made it impossible to make a large city happy if you didn't have access to them. Also it was a little simpler than SimCity 4. Sim City 4 requires some work I think. You really have to build up specialized communities unlike simcity 2000 and 3000 where your city was self contained. This makes it a little more complicated if you just want to build a big thriving city. Basically I think it comes down to how complicated you want it to be. I think both are very similar for the most part and you probably can't go wrong. You're looking at the right ones though. Sim City societies and city life were both pretty disappointing city builders in my opinion.

QUOTE="MaxGamer"]

You need Nvidia's 3D Vision kit which runs for about $200 to play Batman in 3D, and in order to use it your monitor needs a refresh rate of 120Hz or above.

Another, in my opinion better, option is an IZ3D monitor. Its the same price as a standard high quality monitor but can produce 3dimages. You just have to wear polarized glasses like very lightly tinted sunglasses instead of the much heavier and uncomfortable nvidia glasses.

I am surprised that he is so nonchalant about changing out a graphic card but all worried about a processor. Processors are easy to change out and can be cheaper to change than a graphic card. I would target the lowest end processor that has hyperthreading (i believe the slower i5 has this left out). Also be aware there are two different sockets that the i7 comes in and that there are some disadvantages to going with a P55 board although the price is much more reasonable and the advantages of the upgraded socket may be trivial for gaming.
