and even better: do it in VR, as it was meant to be played.
I was a backer in the first year of Star Citizen. I gave up on my investment years ago. Fortunately it was only a $60 starter pack or something. I can't imagine being one of the suckers that forked over hundreds of dollars hoping against hope for Chris -- a developer infamous for not being able to control his penchant for scope creep -- to actually deliver a complete product.
I'm so glad I had Elite to play during this time. I've put about 3,000 hours into Elite Dangerous and I wouldn't trade those memories for anything. And its VR experience was a revelation after playing for years with an ultra-wide and eye tracking. Far from perfect, but a truly special game. If ya'll didn't play Elite you're missing out on an experience.
Considering the sheer volume of games they've given away for free over the years, you could have built up enough games to literally never need to buy another game this decade if you didn't want to.
I've missed many a weekly reset and I still have more than 275 games that came completely free.
Honesty, if you haven't been grabbing the free weekly EGS games -- even if you don't own a gaming PC at the moment, even if you don't plan to support EGS -- you're doing everything wrong.
What's wrong with simply making another Halo experience?
If they would've just made it the Halo 2 multiplayer of old people would've loved this game.
No, instead make it a threamill live service hell with stupid skins like these:
And every game has becomelike this: COD, Battlefield... They all have stupid skins. Aimed at dumb people.
what is this abomination
also, I must be slipping because I have no recollection of this person's role at Microsoft. Best of luck in his future endeavors. People with that much experience don't remain unemployed for very long.
