I used to love final fantasy games, but these new ones are just too weird for me and fallen too far away from the old style games imo. I dont mind if they change the combat that's fine i never particularly enjoyed the turn based combat, but i did eventually get used to it in ff7 and ff6 the last final fantasy games i enjoyed. These new ff games are all flash and no substance.
@grim0187 @Vojtass @vadagar1 GRIM, like you i never played the first game but you have to understand this game is about trial and error it forces you to replay through sections, its not like skyrim where you can beat it without ever dying. every single person here would have died playing witcher 2 at least 20 times. Its the only rpg game i have ever played where you can be killed just by making the wrong dialogue choice.
You not wrong about the inventory though and the combat is hard till you get it( you have to keep rolling around so no one ever come to your back and use quen for damage absorption and invest in the best gear you can find, and make use of bombs and daggers ), the combat gets easy once you get better gear and talents ( i play on medium so shoot me). The bosses are still tricky , but the rest of the fight are now easy for me,
You may be offended from that guy's comment about you being used to easier games but he ain't wrong you don't like this game as its too hard for you and maybe you had more patience for punishing games when you were younger like me, but as time went on and every game that came out was easy we all got spoiled , you know that's true .
Trust me i know cause i was the same boat till i invested some time in the game and realised how awesome it really is once you understand how to play.
@Drag0nsBreaths @grim0187 @iskaroth @mucking_foron he has some good points on the game but for me i liked the game DESPITE OF THOSE ISSUE. the inventory is terrible, the combat is very hard until you figure out how its done and very few people have the patience for that.
Also Im like this guy i never played the first game , so apart from the excellent prologue which did an awesome job of explaining the main story arc stuff i was a little confused of the under arching story about the wild hunt, yenn and the war. I had to do a lot of reading , and i still didn't fully get everything.
The game assumes too much, and they didn't do a very good job on the inventory it can be quite trying. The Ui arrow move sina very strange way, like it has a life of its own, and your recipes and ingredients list can make it hard too see what you have when you ina shop , sometime you end up rebuying the same recipe .
BUT with that said im still liking the game and now that i have some gear and understand the ist all about avoidance, trial and error im very good at the combat now too. B ut i nearly gave up at that Kayran , he was HARD!!
@BatmanForever47 hmm who talked crap? but with that said im playing through witcher 2 now and i seriously find the story a bit confusing there's to many players , and since i never played the first game its can be quite confusing . Luckily you don't have to understand the lore to play through the game. I get i have to track down letho to clear my name and that there's a war going on and thats all i understand lol. The game assume way too much from the player not everyone wants to play through the first game. Perhaps i may have to.
@PlayonEasy you can give him hairstyles and a tattoo in witcher 2 and theres mod that let you change him. So in witcher 3 there will be even more customization im sure , it just won't be a character creation screen. That simply wouldn't make sense for a witcher 2 game , geralt's image is so ingrained now. It would be seen as move to pander to the casuals. They have an artistic vision it makes more sense to stick to that rather than just becoming a bioware clone.
@WolfgarTheQuiet @oldtobie No you both wrong what he saying its an open world but it isn't one massive land mass like skyrim, its a collection of many smaller land masses connected together using gateways like a river, a field or a boat or a bridge where there is no loading screen but there will be some loading like how it isn in witcher 2 when you enter a building. so in effect is seamless if you have an uber pc and some loading if you have a normal pc
Lol what do you know about it? The game is not even out yet on PC. Also its funny you say its possible with the very best gpus out right now, which just shows you just assuming things without actually checking. But actually you still wrong 4k is very hard , and you won't get 60 fps with just one card at 4k if you want full settings. All they do is ALLOW it, so that means 24-30 fps when you play new games at high settings.
This isnt just a port of the 360 version which of course would be playable at 60 fps 4k, but its all new version with extra effects like tessellation and new lighting effects and much bigger textures.. If you want to maintain those new effects and textures while playing at 4k , you may need sli to maintain 60fps or be content with 30 fps.
