anton10000 Blog

400 passed.

My collection has just surpassed the 400 mark, and I'm really happy, as this is quite a milestone for my collection.

My new video blog series may be launched tonight. My cousin and I were able to find a monitor and hook it up to my laptop. The screen is now working, but I need to find the speakers, so that Windows Movie Maker will work again. If that does happen, then I will be working on a video blog showing all the games I got for Christmas. Should be fun.

The Orange Box got slapped.

I thought that the Orange Box was going to be my 360 game of the year, but after only playing Bioshock for 40 minutes, Orange Box has fallen.

Portal is great, and so is Half Life 2, but I can't play TF2 without Xbox Live, and Ep 1 & 2 need Half Life 2 to be played first, so a little disappointing.

Rapture is one of the most immersive worlds ever, and it plays like a dream. It has also beaten off Call of Duty 2 as my favorite 360 game.

Yet another collection apocalypse tomorrow....

Tomorrow is going to be special. I'll be getting another junk load of games, and not just Megadrive launch titles, but stuff that I thought I would never buy so soon, like Mass Effect and Bioshock, but also games that I'm wetting myself to play, like Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles and The Orange Box.

I'm an only child, so I'm used to getting my way at Christmas. I'll just sleep for most of 2morrow, then play my games, have lunch, and play some more games. Sounds good to me.

On the 26th, I'm going to the cinema with my friend to St. Trinians. Yea, I know it'll be garbage, but anything that reaks of Mean Girls is instantly a must see. Also, this sixth form girl from my school is in the school, and I want to laugh at her as she has the nerdy role, and I never liked her as the stuck up cow that she is.

Finished Amped 3.

I finished it last night. I thought the ending was absolutely brilliant, and the last challenge had an absolutely amazing choice of music.

You know how I was going to buy all those magazines? Well not anymore, as I've decided to pull out, after the seller was patronizing me and I realized he was ripping me off greatly. I've said that I don't feel safe without Paypal, yet still he hounds me. I don't feel safe at all putting the money directlyinto his back account. Would YOU do that? Didn't think so. What's the worst thing he can do? Give me negative feedback? When I already have over 30 positive, and all the negatives will come from one seller, it won't look that bad. He would look pretty pathetic if he gave me 22 negative feeback wouldn't it?

Henshin a go go baby!

How to shut someone up with a piece of bread.

I went to see my orthodentist today, and this is because my braces broke again. How did they break? After eating a sandwhich made out of soft bread. Ridiculous. Shoddy braces IMO.

So, I went back this morning and my mum showed my orthodentist what I was eating when my braces broke. My orthodentist did not speak after that, and her assistant gave a look like "yep, not the first time that's happened". It was really jx as I keep getting blamed for breaking my braces, but that shut her up, didn't it.

I got some stuff in the post today!

Nintendo Official Magazine Issues #54. #84, #86 and #87

Dragon Quest Heroes Rocket Slime

That stuff is AWSM, and I can't wait to play Rocket Slime!

Bartering is fun!

So I won all those bids for ALL those magazines on Sunday. *current state: estatic*. So, seeing as thye guy doesn't use Paypal (?!). I looked up where he lives, and he lives at a location that is within easy driving distance of me, so I'm going there on Saturday morning to go pick up the issues.

The fact that he is making so much profit from selling to me directly without eBay and postage means that I can barter. The original price for the lot of 22 was £70. It went down to £68, but I'm haggling. I said £55 to shock him, and then we'll work from there.

You may think that's a lot of issues, and I would have my fix, but no, I bought 4 others issues on Sunday, and there's another auction ending today for another issue, which will undoubtedly be mine! *Bowser from SM64* Mwa ha ha ha.

On other news, here's a list of things I have to buy/pay off with my Christmas money:

Old Issues of Nintendo Official Magazine £Christ knows how much

Birthday Present for my best friend£30

Account upgrade on Freewebs £25

So yea, most of my money will be focused on those old mags *drools* Sorry if I'm going on about them, but I can't help it.

I was chatting with my English teacher today, and I told her about the mags, and she said that it was really cool! How awsm is that!

I got ID'd. C'mon!

I went to GAME as I have an addiction that I need to constantly feed. Anyway, I picked up Amped 3 and Splinter Cell Double Agent, both for the 360. They came to £10, as I had £5 on my loyalty card, and it was buy one, get one half price, so I got a great deal.

I took the games to the counter, and they asked for some ID for Splinter Cell as its a 15. WHA?!! I am 16, and I could pass off for 17. They were like "Well what about a passport?" I replied "I didn't think we lived in Soviet Russia". I showed my 16+ Travelcard, and the guy was like "well, OK we'll let it pass this time".

*major p'od sarcasm" "Why thank you kind sir, ever so much, however will I repay you?" They don't like me anymore, oh well, they're all a bunch of miserable bastards at GAME.

Vive la Gamestation resistance. *goes off to cry* ;D

Jumping for glee with magazines.

Ok, so I'm a HUGE N64 fanboy. It was the first ever home console I had, and I loved, and still love, it to pieces. I don't know, but something about that Z-trigger, and the analog stick, and just popping in a cartridge an playing Blast Corps again gives me the shivers, in a good way.

Now, when I only had an N64 at the beginning of the decade, I read Nintendo Official Magazine UK. I would read, and then re-read the issues over and over and over again. Unfortunately, I got rid of all those magazines when I stopped playing with my N64 when I got my Gamecube in lat 2002.

Once I started buying systems from other companies in mid-2005, my love for NOM waned greatly, as GS was free and multiplatform, exactly what I needed. While I kept all the Gamecube issues I had collected, they were just in a big pile on the floor, just pikced up and strewn across my bedroom floor.

On eBay last night I decided to type in "Nintendo Official Magazine", and unlike most times, these were dozens of issues from the N64 era. There are about 40 issues I NEED, ranging from issue 54, N65 launch, all the way to issue 115, the last issue before the Gamecube's UK launch. I NEED these issues because they highlight the N64 days, which are very nostalgic for me.

There are alos a few other reasons why I must have these issues:

Firstly, I already haveover 40issues, and so a rock solid collection has been started, and would go to waste if it wasn't expanded on.

Secondly, the later issues have loads of early Gamecube news, and that time period also interests me.

Thirdly, I want to just plain read what I remember as the best magazine of all time.

Lastly, I love reading older game mags, and this would be great to have.

Thankfully, Christmas is close, so I'll soon have nearing on 90 issues of my fave magazine!

What, I'm not buying more games?! *faints* ;D

Thoughts about acquiring a PS3.

After seeing those redone FFXIII and FF Versus XIII trailers, my thoughts have been lingering on the PS3. As someone who buys EVERY system, I know that I will eventually get one, but I know have a time frame.

July-December 2008. A long time, but I'll have some sort of job by then, so I'll be able to pay for one.

I'm hoping the system will go down to £250, as that's the most I'm paying for it, and the DualShock 3 must be in the system set I buy. Also, FFXIII has to be out. So yeah, hopefully all those conditions will be met by the end of next year.

Awesome party, and I'm improving.

Last night I played Guita Hero for 3 hours non-stop, and I can now deal with Hard mode, which is a huge improvement over before, so yay for me.

Anyway, and more improtantly, I went to a really awesome party today. It was a Christmas do organized by my best friend Ethan. We went to Chiswick House, and just did loads of really retarded, but funny, stuff. Firstly, we had a snowball fight, but with tennis balls wrapped in white paper. That was hilarious. Then we decorated a tree in the park. Then we wrapped some people in our group in wrapping paper. Then we went for early dinner at a restaurant, so all in all, pretty fun, and hilarious.
