Click the link, now someone tell me why if MS is making a profit from each 360 sold(unline Sony) why is losing money? Alot of Lemming on this forum have loud voices but the proof is in the numbers to slied 21 percent that means no one is buying your Product as you hope. MS is losing this even if you guys wanna Damage control your way out of it doesn't take away the fact there not making what people think. 360 is not hot no one cares about it. Sony and Nintendo just released Profit groth 2 weeks ago and from what lemmings say Sonys dead but there actually gainging more business while MS is inflating it's Product saying oh everyone is joining this new craze when they are not. What? Who said that? Who said that? Anyways theres good games and thats what counts. :lol: Fanboy hypocracy M$ pumps so much hype, that it blinds the lemmings. I am not saying the 360 is bad, but the M$ gaming division should really change it's marketing strategy.
It is like saying what is more important? The car or the driver. Both are important. In the end it depends on the skills of the programmers. E.g. The Cell is great for matrix transformations, so in theory if a game is GPU bound, you could get the cell to do all the vectors, and the transformations and rotations of all the vertices, whilst the GPU only handle the textures and shaders and effects etc. In the end it depends on the scene being rendered. Of course things like AI and general game loops are better done on the CPU.
I assume the job you like is less pay, otherwise the choice would be the same. My answer, the job with better pay. Money is more important for the future and also future of your children. Also unless the job you enjoy is because of the great pay, any job becomes boring after a while (say 3-4 years). Also as you get promoted (if you do), you job nature starts to change anyway.
My view 360/PS3 both OWNED Lemmings first saying the sales were low at launch because of lack of consoles. Then came the Cows with the same excuse. Now both 360 and PS3 have enough stock they are both owned by the Wii which is currently suffering from a shortage. Not including Launches, the Wii is averaging about 500,000 a month in sales which is more than the 360 and the PS3 (not including launches like Europe launch of course).
TC, you forgot one major factor. WOW. NPD figures does not include subscriptions there are 8.5 paying subscribers, and they are pay $15 every Month. Why do you thing the PC sales go up 48% with the Wow expansion? There is a lot of money in PC gaming. UNFORTUNATELY it is going to Blizzard Now.
