I bought a PS3 from Amazon on Thursday night and its set to arrive tomorrow. My PS2 died and the 80GB PS3 doesnt have the Emotion Engine(PS2 basically), so I got the 60 GB version. PS2 compatibility is more important than 20 GB and Motorstorm(which I will probably buy but am going to try the demo first).

Are you for real? I ordered my PS3 on 14. July or so and it would arrive on 1. August. Damn Amazon I'mma call em up. btw. did you pay for your shipping?

Oh and to get on topic, the EE chip won't matter in the long run but still I would have gotten the 60gb PS3 and as you know I dont really have a PS3 yet so sorry I can't say anythin about it's online stuff but no doubt you shouldn't expect it to be better than Xbox's Live at least not until Home comes out.

Does "getting more excited" count? I ordered my PS3 about a week ago and waitin for it's arrival but was kinda hyped up about it already. E3 and the fact that MGS 4 was exclusive made me buy it, if not I would have gotten a 360 with my brother (since we could've bought it together = saving me lots of $$$$). I'm kinda happy I didn't get 360 thought, I would have only played the multiplatform games (the MS exclusives doesn't excite me, not even Halo 3. I'm no big fan of FPS) with the exception of Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.

Assassin's Creed for a potentially good story (cmon it's about the Hashashin, they're literally the definition of the word Assassin. Wiki it), crowd's AI (looks awsome), running on buildings and stuff, 3 big historical cities and of course the assasinations. I'm a big history/mythology (regarding wars and the likes only though) freak so I was sold when I heard about the story. It was an easy pick for me though since i'm no big fan of ratchet.

Edit: I forgot to tell you that the controls for Assassin's Creed may be a bit complicated, you need to learn them in other words it's not something you pick up and play (so I've heard at least). I hear you gotta hold down 3 buttons just to run, direction + 2 other buttons. I could easily be wrong though but thats what i hear.

Dude David Reeves is the only guy at Sony who doesn't go around and spread bull, the only honest guy around tbh. Think about it, when they (Jack, Phil and/or Kaz I recon) announced the "price drop" they actually said that for a LIMITED amount of time you can get 80gb for 599$ with a game. Turns out it's the 60gb u can get at a limited amount of time. Sure he probably meant that it was the game included that was for a limited time but it's sneaky and stupid. They should have just announced the discontinuation of the 60gb right away (i bet that would have happned if Reeves was the one announcing the "price drop"). What do you think would have happened if 3 months from now the 60gb was out of stock and then they announced "oh we discountinued that model".

After watching some gameplay movies I'm a bit sceptical towards their aiming (for guns and the like) other than that it looks good

Hey, I ordered my PS3 and waitin for it atm. Wonderin if Ninja Gaiden is worth the money if you've finished the original (not black) game for xbox before (keep in mind I dont have hd tv yet). I'm kinda low on money so I can only afford one game atm. I'm a big fan of hack n slash (I even enjoy Dynasty Warrios very much, though indeed they are a rip-off) and sounds like there is no other good hack n slash atm (untold legends and genji both has bad reviews). What I'm not a big fan of is FPS and games that takes me 40+ hours (thus oblivion is not my type of game) with the one exception of the final fantasy franchise. I'm kinda waitin for Heavenly Sword and Assassin's Creed but it's still a while and need somethin to enjoy for the next months. I'm wonderin if I should just get the god of war games (1 & 2, amazingly I have yet to tried those) but it feels a bit weird to have a PS3 to play PS2 games. Anyway just wondering what ya think about Ninja Gaiden Sigma and if it's worth to pay 50-59$ for a game I already finished?
