I bought the Borderlands 2 Season Pass after all the content was already out. There are very few games I even buy DLC for, it tends to be of lesser value than buying the full game. I will buy the season pass for Witcher 3, again - after it's out. In the case of the Witcher, it's not that I doubt it will be good quality, it's that I want to go back for a complete second playthrough with all the new content.

When it comes to the argument of supporting developers, I'll support them once they put out content, I'm not running a charity. Publishers need to learn that consumers will reward them for good content, not promises or threats that devs won't get paid if we don't give them money up front.

@C-10: It's the new diet where you have to dial for a tribe to come give you food.

@kenundrum7@tdottbot: It looks like less rather than more. Weather systems would not be the thing that saves this game but if they went all-out like some of the Skyrim survival mods, then it might have at least been something we hadn't seen in Far Cry before.

Giving any numerical value is going to be highly subjective. Is it a good game? Yeah, probably. Does it innovate or provide any systems that you didn't already play to death in Far Cry 3 & 4? Not much. For some, innovation can make up a big part of how they 'score' a game, for others it's merely a question of how much fun is it? Personally I don't think a reskin of a good game deserves the same high score.

Without having played it myself, to me it looks like the standard Far Cry power trip in a shiny new setting but with more crafting & no guns. What I would have like to see in a new game, not just an "expandalone" like Blood Dragon, it a much more nuanced combat system, more intense survival aspects & a crafting system that's more detailed than simply collect enough of each resource & click to craft.

@skiggy34: Yeah, I think they're doing a cross-buy thing (which they should have been doing for years) but the main point is that they're pushing Windows 10 over previous versions. There may be other reasons why people don't want to move to 10 (lock-screen ads, wtf?) but the positive side is that they should at least be pushing the features that people want.

The good news is MS has motivation to actually make these changes. At the moment they are trying to push Windows 10 adoption & they will have to have the features gamers want in the same way that a console has to have the exclusives.

We've already seen that the PC version of Quantum Break will be exclusive to the Windows 10 Store (not on Steam) so it's clear that MS is trying to push gamers towards the OS & the store. PC gamers tend to be a bit more savvy than their console counterparts so if MS can't sort out the issues with W10 Store versions of games then they'll soon find that it's a wasteland. Being able to switch to fullscreen or turn V-Sync off are basic features & SLI support isn't far behind. MS would have to be incredibly foolish to ignore these issues.

That all sounds rather optimistic but I would absolutely not buy a single game from them until the issues are resolved. MS have not earned trust just yet.

Mad Max was an amazingly fun game. It would be really interesting to find out more about the development process of that game because there are lots of survival mechanics that looked like they were heavily stripped back. Everything got cut in the name of fun.

Upgrading a buggy in Dying Light could be fun though. I'm not a huge fan of zombie games but I'll probably pick it up & play some co-op when it hits a reasonable price.

This reminds me of some of the crazy kills people were doing in Dishonored.

It's a cool concept but I feel like it might be an improved experience with better graphics. Blocky red dudes exploding into crystals is easy to animate but how much cooler would it be if you had Sniper Elite style bullet hits & realistic ragdoll physics as the bodies collapse?

@tarheelsforever: Uncharted is about to release the 4th in the series, Assassin's Creed is up to about 400 now. AC is definite;y a bigger franchise.

@eli150: There is a campaign that you can play either single player or co-op.

However they've said that it will only last around 10 hours. I don't think that's enough to justify a purchase for me either. PVP doesn't interest me much.
