@rmiller365 EA is excellent at taking great games & ruining them with their business model. There was a guy at the campfire asking you to go on a DLC mission as well.

I'm really hoping they've learnt their lesson.

@Unfallen_Satan DA: Origins had a nice tactics system (that unfortunately had to be unlocked in steps) to set rules for using potions, healing spells or AOE on grouped enemies. There was a mod that made it even better.

I really hope Inquisition has something similar. Maybe they've just done a lot more work on the AI & they think they didn't need it but I thought it was a nice touch to add that level of customisation & really set up characters for certain roles in battle.

@kiffard @Printul_Noptii I'm hoping they do a free weekend or something. I'm not hugely into FPS & not really into multiplayer either. This COD actually looks like it might be worth my time but paying full price for a game that puts most of its resources into multiplayer is not value for me.

@carolino I lost interest after about 40 hours. There's no scaling to the combat & while they say it's an open game there clearly is a right way to go because that's where the enemies are closer to your level. I got sick of wandering around trying to find where the "right" way is & wasting time in long drawn out combat only to find that I need to go elsewhere to level up.

@dmdavenport Games scores aren't about ticking all the feature boxes. We've seen plenty of single player games with tacked on multiplayer elements that detract from or add nothing to the core experience.

If a game doesn't promise co-op then it shouldn't be penalised for not having it. I have no comment on what score the game deserves because I haven't played it but I know there's a difference between objectively stating whether a game is competent or not & subjectively saying it differs from my preferences.

@canuckbiker Seems a lot more focussed on the action than the role playing. If you don't get to make choices about what happens to characters & where the story goes it's hardly a 'must' for RPG lovers.

Expansions will probably allow for some sort of non-military victory.

I only got into Civ V after the G&K expansion & BNW made it even better. I'll probably still pick this up soon but it will be interesting to see some more peaceful options down the track.

Oh Metallica, trying to stay relevant. How about you make some new music instead? Or you could just continue telling the nerds not to download your music illegally.

@Janpieterzun @bbq_R0ADK1LL Overall violent crime has actually gone down since the advent of video games. Maybe murdering thousands of computer rendered images of people is a lot easier & more satisfying than actually going outside & being violent.

Maybe we should start a campaign to send video games to Muslim extremists & Joseph Kony.
